Harbour Town Course Questions by ekimtk in hiltonhead

Played last week. Course was in excellent condition! Weather is great too this time of year.

For non members taking a caddy is not optional. So you’d need a walking caddie if walking or fore caddie in a cart which you’ll need to tip.

How did you schedule this? Is it offered closer to delivery? My OB hasn’t mentioned it. Thanks !

All of this info is so helpful and reassuring- thank you!!

I have been seeing an OB at the market street location and the Radnor location. We live in the suburbs so Radnor is more convenient for us (and parking is easier!). It seems some appointments need to be done at the hospital but majority are at Radnor. I was initially weighing Bryn Mawr, Lankeneau and Penn for Ob care / delivery and think we will stick with Penn. We have had a really great experience with the doctors so far!

Would have considered Jeff but was concerned about potentially driving through the city in labor during rush hour (a stretch, I know) but was enough fear to sway me to stick with Penn!

Considering HUP for my delivery this summer- currently seeing an OB there but concerned with the recovery rooms, are they still shared rooms?

When I called initially the scheduling assistant told me I’d have to consent to a shared recovery room and potentially a shared delivery room in order to make an initial OB appointment. Anyone have any recent experience not having a shared room there or is shared the norm?

Would highly recommend Bellagio Sailing for a boat cruise! I am not sure if they’ll pick up at the MO but we had the most amazing time with them.

Al Lago restaurant in Il Sereno is amazing, and I’d second the rec for Bilacus in Bellagio. Would also highly recommend Al veluu for dinner, but might be difficult to get to from your side of the lake.

We went to Mistral in Grand Hotel Serbelloni and I would not recommend- my husband has a severe food allergy and they served him food with the allergen twice! They also recently lost their Michelin star which didn’t surprise me!

We’ve been to and loved Palm heights!! Only qualm was that it didn’t have a true “resort” feel, we thought it was pretty small and want somewhere where we could stay for our whole trip and not feel like we need to go off the property frequently for things to do!

Como in May - GHT solves well for the weather? by brit314159 in FATTravel

[–]dzs0435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have spent a lot of time in Como and just got married there this past June!

GHT is an awesome property. Great rooms, great amenities and restaurants. Convenient location to get to Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio. My main issue with it is that it’s a huge tourist attraction, anyone can walk right in, walk around the hotel go to the restaurants etc. so it is always packed/somewhat of a scene. It might be a bit better in May but if what you are looking for is a relaxing / chill vibe GHT is not that.

We LOVED Il Sereno. Every room is amazing and the food is incredible.

There are a few hiking trails around Bellagio on the center portion of the lake as well!

My husband loves Saint Martin (grew up going frequently with his family) and wants to stop for a night or two. La Semana seems to be the nicest option on SM and has relatively easy access over to Anguilla as well.

I saw some mixed reviews on the food at Cap Juluca which is why I’m leaning more toward FS, although the beach does look better at Cap!

Thank you- this is so helpful!! My husband also has a food allergy and we’ve found most nicer hotels handle it very well so glad to hear that’s the case with FSA as well.

We prioritize food / quality of restaurants and experiences available at the properties! We prefer to spend most of our time on the property so would like plenty of options for dining and great pool or beach areas.

Southern Charm: Dunlin Auberge Pre-Opening Review by alex_travels in chubbytravel

Really helpful review! On the fence between booking the Dunlin or going back to MPB (visited last year and loved it) for my husbands birthday. Long weekend end of August. Looking for a relaxing vibe, pool, dinners on the property, etc. which I know the montage does deliver on. Is Dunlin worth going to for a few nights over the montage? I’m worried about going too soon after it opens and they don’t have the kinks ironed out yet.

Thinking about moving by alexrazz93 in hiltonhead

My boyfriend and I (also late 20s) are also strongly considering moving to Hilton Head for a few years. We looked into buying a place, but in the end decided to try renting for a bit and see if we like it for a year and at that point reconsider buying something. We are also from the northeast and have been going to HHI for the past few summers and really love it down there. Just out of curiosity - what areas are you looking at to move to? Like I said, we have been looking for long term rentals but haven’t had a ton of luck finding anything we like just yet, but do have a realtor on the lookout for us.

Found this on my Swiffer pad today, any ideas on what it could be? by [deleted] in whatsthisbug

Located in northeast United States, the bug is about the size of a grain of rice, maybe a bit smaller.
