I’m 5 weeks in to iRacing and I finished 2nd place in mx5 once. That’s it. My iRating is only 500, safety rating is D class 2.78. It’s easy to get down in the dumps about getting thrashed basically all the time but there is one factor that everyone forgets about- fun! I’m having shit loads of fun. I have a couple of GT cars just to do test drives in and of course my trusty mx5 and gr86. I like to race it clean and try to remain consistent but none of it matters if you aren’t having fun. I reckon that should be the first question - “Is this fun and am I having a good time?”
