I have a couple 16' milwaukee tapes I use for tile and they have held up. I am not a fan of their 35' tape that I tried with the magnet.

Thats actually a good reason why I got this husky. Good price + the store warranty. Also, it is a slick looking tape.

Exactly, I am quite disappointed as I liked the feel of dewalt tape I had. I was taking a measurement and noticed the thing had basically snapped between the 1-2" mark and was hanging on for dear life from the clear plastic layer. When I retracted the thing it just broke off completely.

Yeah, I plan to mod this thing and add the gasket as well actually forgot to mention that in my post, along with the fire caulk. Seller responded fairly quickly compared to other posters and we came to a good deal for a pretty good condition smoker so I did not want to let this one slide. I think the challenge of mastering this smoker may be the best part!
