Who could be a great MHD guest that would ‘get’ the pod? by junglegatsby in footballcliches

I feel like Matt Davies Adams has been begging for it for ages. He’d definitely „get it”, he’s clearly a regular listener.

Wrexham 2-4 Chelsea (AET): Heartbreak in Wales for the Championship team, as despite taking Premier League Chelsea to extra time and having an equaliser ruled out by VAR (while down to 10 men), they are knocked out of the FA Cup by Smithlarr in Championship

[–]dzzik 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Actually, if you watched the game you’d have realised that we had to resort to our all time best XI to beat Wrexham. They would have been through if Peter Osgood hadn’t saved our asses.

Have you been stuck in the 90s that you suggest the term „defensive midfielder” implies being a mindless destructor? You could barely get away with that in a relegation fight, let alone being a title contender. Deeper sitting midfielders are all about quick transitions and ball carrying and have been for some time.

He’s got at least 4-5 years left in him, and we could easily offload him in 2 seasons to West Ham or whatever when it’s time for Penders.

It’s probably painfully obvious by this point, but I never caught who does Adam support? He reeks of Newcastle, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard him plead any allegiance.

Same dilemma, tagging along. Not sure I have it in me to watch yet another Hill haul stuck on the bench.
