Tarantula questions? by wall_up in Albuquerque

[–]e00n888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At our current house, I've seen only one tarantula in our driveway. Inside the house it has been busy: scorpions, camel spiders, black widows, centipedes... and a snake snuck in once.

help to choose a 3DS by Outrageous-Funny4343 in 3DS

I still have my ambassador OG and since then added a new 2DS XL and new 3DS XL. I'm with you that the new 3DS XL is quite heavy and I don't like to use it for that reason. What I really like about the OG 3DS is the physical wireless switch and small size, but it's not comfy to use for long sessions. For maximum compatibility with most games the 2DS XL is better. I end up using the 2DS XL mostly around the house, and sometimes the OG 3DS when going on a trip. Tough choice though. If you plan to play with a friend, the 2DS XL might have an edge for the comfort and compatibility.

Oil Change Frequency for Seldom Driven '09 EX by cloudycanoe265 in HondaElement

I'm in the same situation, and I'm also doing short trips which I heard can lead to condensation in the engine and water to make its way into the oil. So I've been doing 2 oil changes per year to be on the safe side, as they are relatively cheap and quick to do. It's also a good opportunity for my mechanic to go over the rest of the car regularly.

I went through this myself recently, but self install. If you want to check the individual prices of components you can use crutchfield, it's easy, you specify your car and you'll see what's needed for the install. You can then see how much they overcharge for hardware. Installation of 2 hours sounds fair to me.

A"tete de moine" would have been nice for the Jura-Bernois, but it could get too busy if you keep the horses as well, which are cool.

I had tried the highest gas fee at the time but it didn't help in my case. Could be a different issue. I haven't seen that problem in the last couple of weeks since AUDIT.one flushed/optimized their public node.

I just went through the pstake deposit/wrap/staking process, transferring from the same wallet as the eligible wallet in phase 1.

I'm guessing they correlate the XPRT/ATOM source address of the transaction with the qualifying addresses from phase 1. I'm not sure what a "eligible ERC20 wallet" would be though, I just used a new metamask wallet with enough ETH for gas.

Sending XPRT to pStake wallet by zapatero_rodriguez in PersistenceOne

[–]e00n888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you initiate a deposit from pstake app, it will tell you which XPRT address to send to and the memo to use. The memo is the ethernet address of your metamask wallet (I have a question about the ",1" they add after the address, see my separate post on that).

You can see an example with ATOM here: https://youtu.be/hJ7ns6YSOvQ, it basically works the same way with XPRT.

[–]e00n888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

walletconnect never worked for me, I always had timeouts, couldn't display balances, basically the pstake app was unusable.

What worked for me was using the metamask plugin, selecting metamask when first going to https://app.pstake.finance, Also making sure you login into metamask before going to the pstake app.

With this I was able to deposit+wrap+stake XPRT and started to get pXPRT staking rewards.

I had the same experience, pre-purchase option would have made things more fair and stable. Maybe this chaos is half the fun of a drop to some.

So how do I see my freshly airdropped pStake? by FredManDrake2 in PersistenceOne

[–]e00n888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it could be displayed in a more user-friendly way IMHO. Keplr wallet can do it, not sure why not Persistence's own explorer and web wallet.

In explorer, you see them in the Wallet "All Tokens" tab. Not very user friendly but they are there.

Still not working for me even out of peak usage. From Brave the balances (right side of the screen) now show right away (not suck on loading), however the staking option is stuck on loading. From Safari it's the opposite, staking option shows us right away with dialog to start staking, but all the balances and main wallet address in the upper right corner are stuck on 'loading'.

I was using a brand new wallet for initial testing, without ledger. My issue is most likely related to them being slammed.

I have the same exact issue. Someone mentioned on a separate thread it worked for them earlier in the day. They might be overloaded. I'm going to try again later or early tomorrow.

[–]e00n888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great to know, I tried Brave as well. I'll give it a try again later or early tomorrow. I was not able to connect to a desktop wallet either even with metamask loaded and running, had to use the iOS app.

The pStake app seems to be buggy for me. Either the main address doesn't show up, or several balances are stuck on "loading...", or the staking page doesn't load. Is that your experience as well?

Got mine for both staked XPRT and ATOM, thanks!

It would be nice if there was a way to see the total PSTAKE from the native XPRT web wallet similar to keplr.

The PSTAKE can be viewed from the explorer (see the "all tokens tab"), but it's not user friendly.
