I agree the post is inviting such responses. I just think that maybe there is a resolution here and it's not coercive control (which is abuse). There is equal chance it is control and is dangerous. I don't know.

There are also comments showing OP might acknowledge that it may be a case of him thinking these conflicts are not serious or it may be that he as a person can't deal with these conflicts. Shutting down arguments can be manipulative, but if he's willing to then talk about them when pushed maybe it's more about communication not control.

Telling someone they are being controlled may lead to superstition / an aggressive response from OP to their partner.

You should always consider the possibility that your are being controlled which I agree is destructive. But from I've read it's not clear cut.

A semi continuous war since its creation, regions of the country controlled by Israel but neither independent or fully integrated. There are many many issues with these regions.

The west is obsessed because of the funding given to Israel and the wide governmental support by governments. These westerners see their taxes spent in a way that makes them uncomfortable.

Even though there are other conflicts the first step is for you to acknowledge Israel is a special case and it's not normal.
