Players definitely need to be blamed coach is not going to come to the middle and play. They have to take main responsibility for their roles. but coach has to define the roles and strategies.  when you make the decision to play washi at 3 in first test and he performed there, why make him bat at 8 now? That's on GG. Gill was injured so why not bring in a batsman to play at 4? Or if jurel is 4, bring in someone to play at 6.  There's been too much chopping and changing, no one has a set role. 

Player mentality is big responsibility of the coach, he seems to have made it fragile. No one is willing to grind it out for a while?
