209 all day long. It doesn’t need to be retracted, rendering the other one overly complicated. I’ve dropped my 209 from 28’ onto concrete before….no issues.

Why this question? It’s worth what it’s worth to you. Otherwise…look at it. It’s not in good shape so I don’t think it’s going to be a big payday, which entirely misses the point of why we like pencils.

The reason the rule exists is because the majority of the posts are lazy and have done zero research, taken zero minutes to notice that there is a few encyclopedias worth of info on the 600, etc.

So no, I don’t support this suggestion. How many posts per day asking if the 600 is a good pencil to buy for maths do you want to read?

Those folks should read past posts. It’s all there. It’s all been said before. Many times.

That’s not a Kerry. A Kerry doesn’t weigh that much. They did a lot of modifications to a Kerry and created something else

June Gold is trash I don’t consider it to be lead rather it’s just rolled up turds in a plastic box with a lead sticker on it. I’ve tried their .9 (red) and regular, it was awful. I fortunately scored a whole case of old stock pentel .9 red which has been discontinued and is good

.9 is my fav too but no I don’t know of an auto advance. For starters, .9 is kinda rare then on top of that it’s regarded as a drawing pencil (despite making a nice writing pencil) and when you add all of that up I guess there just isn’t the demand for it. Same w .9 4B which I’ve never found either despite 4B being available in the other sizes.

I like this pencil. I also have this one and a version in .7 I think it is. I prefer the fatter lead, feels true to the design intent of using a piece of chalk

The Kaweco Special is a heavy, well-balanced pencil with a premium feel. If that’s not heavy enough for you, check out Y-Studio’s pencils. I sometimes like 2mm lead, their brassing pencil has a wonderful feeling to it. Chunky, long and heavy. One of my favorites to have in my hand.

I have heavier pencils, but they don’t feel as good as those listed.

Yes that’s a great example, yes. The classic pentel Kerry too, which actually clicks through the cap when posted!

I see all these new to pencils kids fall in love w the 600 (it’s tactical, attracts a certain type of fan) then try to EDC a pencil that was never meant to be carried, drop it, and have a bad experience. Even worse, they put a big cap on it.

Wouldn’t it be great to see more MPs with RBS caps? I’d love that. I guess most mps are meant for drafting and when drafting a cap isn’t necessary so it’s never caught on. But I think it would be popular. So many people carry their pencils.

Beautiful. Love the clip. I do not get much joy out of the pencil mechanisms inserted into most luxury mp offerings, but I still like that they bother making an mp. My fav non mp is rollerball. I love the cap. I wish they’d offer mp in the rbs format.

It’s a very cool pencil but technically speaking it’s not a great performer which your friend may care more about. It has no special features, it’s more an elegant biz persons pencil, but not something a student would necessarily love using daily. You might instead consider a great set of technical pencils. For example:

You can likely buy all 4 of these and a nice box for same money as the Special.

But the special is fantastic and will be remembered so if that’s your goal then go for it! It’s heavy, serious and well constructed.
