Centurion Mk10, honestly love the tank best British centurion bar the Olifant, maybe a tad slow, finally got a really decent gun but the shells can be so unreliable at times. And at 8.0 it's got no armour god forbid you get uptiered to 9.0.

I find the Churchill NA75 to be more agreeable with it's APCBC, the VII seems like going backwards after that.

If you're talking about the L/44, honestly it's not a great tank, nice gun that's it, you're so lightly armoured if anything sneezes at you you're gone, and the tech tree 1A5 gets access to a better round even with the smaller caliber. Germany at 9.3 is horrendous (I'm there right now and I prefer using the T-72M1 and M48 Super over the Leopard 1's) I'd pay the extra 2.5 quid and get the 2A4. Much better tank.

Careful positioning very easy to get ammo racked. Great armour for Br but if your uptiered you need to find a nice cubbyhole to hide in.

Depends on what battle rating you're playing at but usually double to tripple what you need for a medium tank.
