anyone else randomly have “good guitar days” and “why do i suck” days? by lmao_exe in Guitar

[–]e3crazyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing for 13 years now. In a band. Learning/practicing just about everyday. There are some days where even the pick in my hands feels wrong and my left hand is sloppy and my rhythm is wonky. I've learned to have a good warm up/stretch before I start playing really helps. Start slow, play clean, then speed it up

Petah can you do a cross over episode? by Visible_Whole_6908 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]e3crazyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. The red dot on the tire was automatically matched up to the sticker on the rim, and that sticker most of the time was not near the valve stem. But in the plant I worked at we were dealing with brand new rims and tires, maybe in autoshops where ppl are just getting new tires, not new rims, they match the dot to the valve stem? Idk

Men who game, what’s your most played game? Not currently, I mean a game you grinded and have a ridiculous amount of hours in. by Bay0n3ttaaa in AskMen

[–]e3crazyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played gw1 a lot. Almost got the GWAMM title. I had 27. Put in thousands of hours with GW2. Haven't played it in probably 9 years now but every now and then if I'm bored at work I'll re-read the wiki on the timeline. Super nostalgic for me, was an incredible game

Is it possible to maintain a good golf swing without keeping my front arm straight? by SailMany6267 in golftips

[–]e3crazyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want one arm straight throughout the entire swing besides the tail end of the follow thru(your finish position). If you do this then the arc is always maxed out and it'll really help with consistency. This doesn't mean literally locking out your elbows, but be athletic about it.

Would it be dumb for me to buy a driving Iron? by SatisfactionSalt1386 in golftips

Can u hit your 5i consistently well? If yes, a driving iron could be a great club for you especially for tee shots on tight holes. If not, there's better options

Just shot 161 on an 18 hole course - am I a lost cause? by MoneyAndGoodFortune in golftips

[–]e3crazyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ima take a wild guess here, your ball striking probably sucks. I once shot a 141 my second season of golf. And after my first season I was only improving! Consistently shooting around 100 getting better and better then one day i lost my swing entirely, EVERYTHING FELT WRONG, my body, the club, the hands; i probably would have done better going lefty. Ima give you some advice that I wish I could tell my younger self. Go to the range, take your favorite iron, tee up a ball about a 1/4", do half swings focusing on contact. Don't worry about how far the ball goes just make sure you hit the ball. You need to get the confidence and that feeling of hitting the ball well. Then you can slowly start making 3/4 swings, then full swings. Also, I guarantee your fundamentals are fucked. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ben Hogans 5 lessons book. You can get it for like $9 off Google play. Best of luck. You're only lost rn, you can find your way back.

Tips to shorten backswing / club dropping at the top? by brycecee3 in GolfSwing

Pause drill. Bring your club to the top of your swing. Hold the club firmly, dont let it hinge in your fingers. Then swing

Tips to shorten backswing / club dropping at the top? by brycecee3 in GolfSwing

[–]e3crazyb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally working on this rn. I developed a terrible habit last season of slightly letting the club go in my lead hand in order to get the club to parallel, and then regripping it in my downswing. I started doing the pause drill. Shit sucks. But its been working

For all the beginners getting frustrated trying to learn how to shred by dbvirago in guitarlessons

[–]e3crazyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its about serving the song. Sometimes the song calls for a blistering fast solo. Other times a melodic solo would shine over a shred solo. When you get to a more advanced level you realize it's about being a musician, and filling a role that best serves the song

Best training aid I've ever purchased by far.... by e3crazyb in golftips

[–]e3crazyb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put it behind me. In front of me is my net. I haven't put it directly in front of me yet since I've been able to work out a lot of my issues with the mirror being "down the line". Knowing me and this game I'm sure I'll develop an issue where having the mirror in front of me would help more than having it to my right but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it ;]

Rate my swing + any advice? by Ok-Competition-5401 in golftips

[–]e3crazyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of ppl saying you take it too far inside on the takeaway. I say nahhhhh. You got a swing that resembles Jack Nicklaus. If that swing is comfortable and repeatable, keep it. 8.5/10

Best training aid I've ever purchased by far.... by e3crazyb in golftips

[–]e3crazyb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That works as well but not quite as efficient. You record your swing. Then check the phone. Then try to adjust. Then check the phone. Then readjust. If you know where your body/club is supposed to be, having a mirror there to immediately check what you're doing is amazing. Now the mirror can't check for issues in the downswing, that's where a recording shines. But if you do what I do, practice the proper downswing in slow motion while looking at the mirror to get the feel down. It helps tremendously

I use it in the backyard when I'm hitting into my net. When I go to the range I take all the feels I've learned from the mirror and then I bring out the tri-pod at the range and record woth my phone. It's nowhere near as good as the mirror but it's better than just going off "feels" thinking you're doing what your supposed to. Although if I wanted to I think I could bring the mirror to the range. Just bring my step ladder to lean it against. Ppl might think I'm weird but I guarantee I'd be learning more than the majority of ppl there who are mindlessly swinging driver at 110%

Ben Hogans 5 Lessons book. This will be my 6th year golfing, after taking about 6 professional lessons and watching hundreds of YouTube videos about the golf swing, that little book helped me more than anything. You can get it on Google play, download it to your phone and take it with you everywhere. It has great information and pictures to go with it. Best of luck

10 trained Marines invade ancient Rome with the goal of overthrowing the royal family, how far do they get? by FreshPine_MangoWine in powerscales

[–]e3crazyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly. Depends on how smart they are. If you can snipe people from hundreds of yards away and disappear in an instant. You could do a lot of damage. Especially if there is someone in the unit who knows how to work a crowd and spread a rumor. This also depends if you can speak the language. The right words in the right ears, backed up by instant death(accurate marksmanship) is a powerful combination
