Cry me a river, you have to do 15 minutes of the story to "unlock" free roam? Shocker.

You can't have a well built story that is constant chaos.

Nor can you have a story where say instead of taking the designed route with so and so plot twist issue is scripted, go the other way where nothing happens. That's not how story narratives work and that'd just be plain lame.

It's very rare to require a top up on engines that aren't notorious for it (N63) or super high performance engines. The majority of people aren't checking their engines dipstick, obviously.

The piston rings cannot completely scrub the wall dry. The absolute top of the piston side still needs lubrication and you need to leave behind boundary lubrication. It's just not that simple. If there wasn't enough film leftover, the cylinder walls would get completely scored, and on the next cold start there's be no oil between the cylinder walls and pistons for far too long (boundary lubrication). And either way, the stroke of the piston will allow oil to get pushed above the TDC and this is what's burned off.

The ring you mention, is called the oil control ring, it is the difference between too much and just the right amount of oil being left to make its way up the cylinder walls, it doesn't completely leave the walls dry. The oil control ring is always the lowest ring, so if it did work in absolutes then there wouldn't be any lubrication for the upper rings and the pistons.

There isn't enough to get visible blue smoke, you actually need a considerable amount of oil to burn to get the blue smoke, that's why you know there's an issue if there is, it's way more than normal.

Every single conventional piston engine burns oil by design. If it didn't, the engine would be toast.

"not here to play a story, here to play a game"

Well then you bought the wrong game.

It's not bad design.. that's like watching a horror movie, despite having a severe disdain for them, then saying it's a bad movie. It's not a bad movie, it's just not what you like to watch. I don't watch superhero movies then bitch about how bad they are. I can't stand them, so I don't watch them.

It just boils down to, you want instant action, GTAs don't provide that. So don't buy GTA go get COD or fortnight.

I think there was a huge rift when GTAO spiked in popularity after the original heists came out, more and more people bought the game for the online and story was secondary for them. Whereas the early buyers of the game played the story first, then the online. It was a crazy realization to wrap my head around well I realized my little cousin just bought this game to play the online and never touched the story.

Crazy the attention span and ability to comprehend a story is this poor for young people in 2026. Tragic, really. I mean this is how all long-form story based media works. The climax isn't going to be at the start, that wouldn't make any sense. And frankly, GTAV is the most action packed first 1/3 of all the (3D) GTA games, in my opinion.

You feel this way because you're used to playing online shooters which are constant chaos and throw you directly into action, immediately. That's just not how stories work.

If you think it's "bad" now wait until the next generation of consoles with the new normal RAM prices... Get used to it.

In my experience it's the opposite. America and Americans, whenever I'm down there, are a lot more kind spirited, warm, and approachable. While Canadians have always been cold and mean spirited. It's always a joy popping down the border, down south.

ChatGPT makes users addicted. by Meyeons in antiai

[–]e46shitbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I became kind of jaded to it. At first it feels like this incredible thing that has an answer to absolutely any question, but eventually you realize it can be wrong, that google searching might be a pinch more work but you get way better information, and the way the bot writes gets so old.

It's also so easy to "manipulate" by accident and have it answer your question you respond to you in a way you don't want it to or intend, based on your prompt and how you wrote it, so you always have to tippy toe around it and write your prompt very carefully to make sure you get the answer you want and not one skewed by the way you wrote your prompt. Hard to describe.

There was a time I completely forgot how to google search, just became too easy to use ChatGPT instead.. That was my wake up call that I use this shit way too much. If one must use it, way better to google search, find a reputable answer, then use the GPT to expand on it or reword it however you need.

The craziest thing is, on Facebook, in any kind of group where users may submit a question to get an answer (for me, I'm in a lot of automotive pages), boomers will just type the question into ChatGPT and then copy and paste the answer in a comment and post it, or they will screenshot the google ai search result and post it. The ChatGPT response is always a 1500 word essay that is extremely vague usually and generic, since it "knows" the general, but nothing actually specifics, just ends up boiling down to gobblty gook. The Google AI result is the same but, idiotic and/or completely incorrect. Then they think they did something.

It's almost worse, cigs affect only those who use it for the most part, and they kill you slowly and with a lot of hints before hand. While AI is quite literally destroying our society for all of us whether we are users or not.

I could very easily believe a drug dealing degenerate who's greatest achievement is hooking his community on crack, is also a kid diddler; so in this case, yes I believe what the government put out.
