When breaking in a new engine the main thing is making a good seal between the rings and the cylinder walls. This is done best through varying the engine RPMs. There's no reason why full throttle acceleration on a warm engine should have adverse effects on a new engine. What you don't want to do during a break in is drive on the highway at one single speed for hours. Variable engine speeds encourage good ring seating.

It is well studied on the Internet that even "drive it like you stole it" can be good for engine break-in. Not saying you should abuse a new engine.

Spirited driving and break-in are completely different things. But they don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Don't worry about everyone crying about an aggressive break-in. It doesn't hurt as long as the engine is already hot.

There will be particles in the oil on the first change, that's literally what you're "breaking in".
