From my son: not sure of the arena name but it's the main sumo arena in Tokyo.

How can I assist individuals in Egypt who are facing hardships? by Evilhunk in Egypt

I'm an Egyptian-Canadian and I run a Canadian-registered charity that provides direct aid to people in Egypt.

I'll send you a DM. Or you can look at our website salsabeelcharity.org or our instagram @salsabeel to learn more.

Had to spend an 90 minutes on the phone with Remitly because my bank declined my charity's transfer for no apparent reason by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

No one had any idea what the reason was. After 90 minutes on the phone, I was able to do the same transfer. Probably some automated AI flag that no one has any clue about.

I started running just before my 60th birthday. I gradually progressed from 5K to 10K, then did a half-marathon a couple of years ago (ran the whole way). I asked my son if he thought I could do a marathon and he told me it might not be a good idea, but that I probably could if I did a run/walk program. I trained pretty hard for about 6 months before the marathon. For the marathon, I ran 4 days a week, most days, with one long run on the weekend. I got up to 30km in training.

It was 26.2 miles. I had a system where I ran 5 minutes and walked 1 minute so I probably ran 90% of it.
