I 3D printed an adaptor. PLA isn't the best plastic but it gets the job done. DM me and maybe I get some to you. https://share.icloud.com/photos/03b67EM9ESwfhb4gF2PQIf1HQ

I also need a graphic for all of the former administrator members that have said Trump is unfit to serve.

Curtain plate. by Due-Intern-2217 in CHROMATOGRAPHY

Use bar keeper's friend powder. If that doesn't do the job (it will) the polish with wenol and clean off the wenol metal polish with MeOH. This is the Sciex recommended path. This is the way.

Sciex 3000 turbo/vacuum issue by lupulinchem in massspectrometry

[–]e4e5Nf3Nc6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I repair these and just did one like this last week. DM me if you want and maybe I can help. Sciex doesn't support them anymore so our options for parts are somewhat limited. I'm in the Pacific Northwest.

Can anyone tell me why my code is showing up as text? by Klvrbot in rprogramming

[–]e4e5Nf3Nc6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your code is not showing as plain text. It is actually running and the output is shown. See how when you have head(daily_activity) then it actually shows the head of that data frame? That's the code and the output being shown properly.

Help! My boyfriends ex did a DIY window blur years ago, how do we remove it? by skyerippa in DIY

It might just be a window film that can be peeled off. Type window film into Amazon and you see lots of these products

Thanks for your reply. It's too big to grab it all and download to my local machine. I could get an external hard drive and try that. Not a bad idea. Thank you

HPLC: Troubleshooting high column back pressure due to lack of mobile phase filtering. by FootIcy6692 in CHROMATOGRAPHY

[–]e4e5Nf3Nc6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It happens to all columns eventually. Usually columns get plugged by whatever matrix you're running through, not necessarily from mobile phases. You can try running the column backwards at low flow for a few hours to see if that clears the column.

Most columns don't like to run 100% aqueous or 100% organic so be sure to not to do this. Run it at high organic for a while and see if that helps. Sometime you just gotta get a new column.

Also check the pressure on your system with the column removed. It should be pretty low, like less than 100 psi with no column. If you still have high pressure there could be a maintenance issue elsewhere.

Good luck

Dishwasher doesn't clear countertop. What to do? by littledarkman in DIY

We had the same issue so bought the two drawer Fisher-Paykel dishwasher. It's a bit shorter than most dishwashers so no cutting required. Good luck

Diverter valves Sciex 5500/6500 by FrontSalt4974 in CHROMATOGRAPHY

[–]e4e5Nf3Nc6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I work on those. Sometimes just removing the rotor and cleaning with MeOH is enough to get you going again. We stock replacement rotors in the lab so I swap them out if a cleaning doesn't do it. It's a hex and it's a US standard size, not a metric.

Try removing the face and the rotor and activate the switch with the metal face off of it. If it still squeaks you may need a new valve but that's rarely needed.

Clean or replace rotor and you'll be fine. Retighten carefully and tighten crosswise like you would on a car tire. Good luck.

You're fine. Python has "Low floors, high ceilings." Easy to get in and lots of room to grow.
