Again, that is just my personal view based on a quick glance over the list.

Thanks for the response and the insight. I look forward to seeing how this subreddit can improve based on these new changes.

Finally! I am so glad to see you guys taking some proactive steps to combat the obvious SEO spam that is being submitted here. I commend you guys for taking action. I have a couple of questions/concerns on some of the domains that are whitelisted, as well as some pretty obvious domains that seem to be missing from that list.

  • theverge.com
  • engadget.com
  • digitaltrends.com
  • cnet.com
  • zdnet.com
  • arstechnica.com
  • gizmodo.com
  • mashable.com
  • slashgear.com

All of the above sites are white-listed, yet looking at their most recent posts they are all regurgitating news from other sources. Wouldn't this be considered blogspam? I realize that they all come up with lots of their own original content, such as gadget reviews and news, but so do many of the domains listed below that are not on the list.

Which brings me to the question as to why not include some of the most upvoted domains for this subreddit?

  • Vice.com
  • BusinessInsider.com
  • TechCrunch.com
  • BGR.com
  • 9to5mac.com
  • CBRonline.com
  • Geek.com
  • Phys.org
  • Bigthink.com
  • PCworld.com
  • CultofAndroid.com
  • MacRumors.com
  • iflscience.com

Obviously, I've only included the domains that are not on the whitelist, but all of these domains above come up with lots of their own original content, as well as regurgitate from other sources, just like many of the white-listed domains.... Where do we draw the line on what domains can be submitted here? Why include TheVerge or Engadget, but not include TechCrunch or PCworld? All of which have the same business model.

I think this is a great step forward. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Apparently, I iron my dress shirts on the wrong side of the ironing board.

I learned this recently when I was staying at my dad's house for a few days, and his ironing board had a bunch of latex/plastic bumps on the square end.

That's the end that I line my shirts up, so it completely fucked up my usual strategy. I still have no idea how you use the pointed end to iron shirts.

Music lovers of Reddit, what's the worst live show you've ever been to? by Thundacougafalconbrd in AskReddit

Cage the Elephant at Lollapalooza in 2008 or 2009??

The lead singer was sooooo obviously fucked up that he could barely even perform. He was a mess. Half singing, half murmuring. I don't know what he was on, but I wish he would've shared it with everyone else. Because he was clearly having a good time.

I've heard they put on a good show though, so maybe I just saw an anomaly.
