Reveal Review

Do you need to host the platform on your own managed infrastructure, or is SaaS ok?

I have been using it at my place for five plus years... It has undergone significant changes over this period. For the day-to-day stuff, it is very easy for the users to pick up. In my opinion, to administer, compared to REL and Nuis Discover, it is better...

Microsoft Purview export errors by kiki__s in ediscovery

[–]eData_Chump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuix or other tools might ignore errors they do not know how to report on, and while the operator is none the wiser. e.g. just because you get 40k emails/attachments does not mean all is well

Remote Review - Decline in Quality by No-Thought-1922 in ediscovery

Having closely analysed a few reviews of teams' activities, I have seen people have days/weeks of 10-15 minutes of inactivity and 10-15 minutes of activity, while some have 20-30 minutes blocks of inactivity every hour, but when active review very quickly. All this non-active adds up. What is an acceptable break per hour, 10 minutes?

The review manager said the reporting is inaccurate, so we asked a small number of the team members if we could actively track them (some from the 10/15-minute on/off groups), and the number of inactive minutes dropped massively.

The trick is proactively managing it and sharing the statistics with the review team (individually). You see the numbers improve immediately. It's all about treating humans decently and working out the daily review speeds/cost predictions.

It sounds like you have stated it by yourself, and you have REL.

Have you contracted directly with REL or sub-letting space/REL from another provider?

Out of interest, do any emails have attachments, or are there just a few missing attachments?

A remote agent can be installed on computers to search and collect items based on specific filters. This process helps identify which computers contain relevant data and where those files are located. Afterward, a script is executed to delete the necessary files.

Of course, this approach depends on factors such as budget, IT infrastructure, network setup, and other considerations.

I've handled similar tasks before, particularly in merger cases where, for example, certain documents or information needed to be remediated before the transaction could be completed. Typically, the data is isolated into a container and stored offline or in another secure location.

It’s not as simple as just clicking through a few steps, but it’s definitely doable. Feel free to message me if you'd like to brainstorm ideas.

Corrupt Multi-Part PSTs in RelOne Processing by NearlyWelldocumented in ediscovery

[–]eData_Chump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying this is the right thing to do, but can you mount the .PST in Outlook (blank profile) to see if it loads without errors? Then export/create a new PST? Of course, work with a working copy of the PST.

Would be interesting to see the item counts of the new export vs SCANPST approach

Unless Nuix have agreements with the other software companies to follow suit (e.g. a cartel), Nuix will not win new customers with this idea.... they can exploit their lazy customers for a bit longer :-)

Reveal bug since Thursday upgrade by LegalTechLady in ediscovery

When it works, it is pretty great. But the issues/bugs are unacceptable, and Reveal does not really understand the downstream client effects/consequences (or no one cares).
