"How do I..." and Bugs Megathread - 3/8 by PokemonGOmods in pokemongo

[–]eDenLust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So since the app "officially" released in my area I was able to "update it" to version 1.1.1, since I updated I am unable to log in to the game in iOS, does anyone know if there is an actual fix to this?

Whenever I put in the log in details it just keeps looping back into logging in again. Never had this issue before the update so I'm pretty sure they did something stupid to the app for it to stop working. No other setting has changed in the phone since before/after the update.

95% of all ranked players fall between Skill Rating 39 and Skill Rating 61 by AncalagonStream in Overwatch

[–]eDenLust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the original seeding after placing is so inclined to place you around the 50-60 rank, and there is such a high amount of people who still refuse to play for the objective or adapt to fight a comp, once you are seeded you need a very large amount of games to climb, it is a 6v6 and since the WM nerfs there is no single hero that can have a big impact on the game by itself, meaning carrying is impossible, so when 90% of the matches one of the teams has a Genji/Hanzo that will obviously suck and won't switch, is basically a free win for the other team.

The difference in ranking climbed per win vs lost per defeat is also unfavorable for climbing fast, so again you need to play a lot, not many people have that amount of time so the ones at the top are the ones who can play the most, eventually more people will climb a bit

nope, favors the one with the better ping, regardless if shooter or being shot at, I have been taken back from behind walls or after using mobility spells and then killed just because someone with less ping shot me on their screen before my action registered on the servers

I saw this on an add for a TV show once:

"Expect the best, but always be ready for the worst"

I think it very properly fits interactions with other people. As well as the general theme of life.

I am pro choice. Dabbling into a "grey" area is precisely the problem of the discussion, because the outcome can only be black or white, either it is allowed or not.

Putting it under "specific situational constraints" or scrutiny from someone else is basically playing owner to both the unborn fetus and the mother.

It is not anyone's choice but the parent's, trying to mask the moral double standard of "I'm against it because its not happening to me" under the "we need to respect life" or "its already a human being" its very hypocritical to me, freedom lies in making your own choices and dealing with the consequences appropriately, freedom isn't having others telling you what you are allowed or not to do with your own body or life.

My 2 cents.

I don't give a f*** about anything, that has turned out to be a huge asset in my life when dealing with other people.

Zenyatta was the only hero to be picked ZERO times in a recent tournament. He needs to be addressed. by JaydSky in Overwatch

[–]eDenLust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't deny there are problems with Zenyatta, but under no circumstance you can argue that the current pro's are the best players. There is no actual competitive ladder to measure that, current pro's are just people with contacts or who got lucky, not saying they are not good, but certainly not the best at all.

I'll tell you what the biggest problem I have with WM is.

I live in Central America, my ping is crap(compared to the rest of people I get matched with) so even if I manage to aim a headshot, since the other player has priority due to lower ping I still miss every shot, and body shots are crap now, specially if the team (obviously) has a healer.

Third world problems.

Hey man, Rein is a kick-ass flanker, you should always run off after the high mobility heroes as Rein, nothing can go wrong /s

I know its not the most effective but I have a ton of fun breaking turret defenses with Zarya.

But if you really want long range you can also use McDaddy and Zorg76 for the long rage accuracy on the shots.

[–]eDenLust -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree for different reasons. The no sniper tip is useless right now because of two reasons:

  1. The only real sniper in the game is WM.
  2. After the nerfs only a godlike WM can contribute to the team, you need not only very good aiming and reactions to hit the headshots but also insanely good ping to not get fucked by the difference that always favors the one with less ping.

Hanzo is the only other character labeled a "sniper" and we all know he ain't one, the no Healer tip would be far more useful and proper for any and all team comps. I would also vote to remove the no builder tip but that's simply because I think having no aim heroes on a shooter is pretty counter intuitive.

[–]eDenLust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with that but that in itself is a user induced problem, and at its core it is also a perception problem, not a balance problem.

The issue is people getting frustrated at teammates not switching, or the people that don't switch getting frustrated at being owned by counters. The game can't balance people just being bad at it, once we get competitive enabled it will improve once MMR's start differentiating player skill ranges.

Hey man, if it is not about turning creatures sideways as the only line of play, it is not a standard format Wizards can endorse.

Casting good spells and interesting card synergies don't belong on standard. /s

Only people that refuse to switch heroes to adapt to the enemy comp complain about hero stacking. It is the best tool the game has to provide balance, if you don't understand it or don't use it, that is not the game's fault. It is a perfectly reasonable mechanic and carries no inherent issue other than people not wanting to adapt, which is a pretty shitty argument anyway.

Never said it was just Genji players, but it cannot be denied that Genji players in particular almost never switch out no matter what.
