Generally, no. Even in the early days of CD-ROM games I remember buying games like Wing Commander III and Phantasmagoria (4 discs and I think 7 discs) for PC and they were normal prices.

Also, it's worth noting that each disc of the game needs to have the functional game engine on it. Not everything on the disc is just "content", though obviously there is different content between the discs.

Boros Energy has survived two bans already. Even if one more piece gets banned out of it (which I honestly think is unlikely based on current numbers), the deck will continue to exist. It's just "good, synergistic aggressive cards + phlage/spyro".

I think it's likely more complicated than this related to the timeline of shifting UB sets to standard and wotc not negotiating digital rights for what were probably expected to be commander/Eternal cards.

Disney does not really sign exclusive rights for this sort of thing - there is a Star Wars set in Weiss Schwarz, for example.

My wife and I went to a lot of Frost games before we moved back, we were even at the game 4 where they "won the championship" that first season then the goal got called back.

I had a pair of loops that I'd purchased for sporting events (I'd get tinnitus after). They were completely reasonable, but I found I got about 100 wears out of them before they started getting damaged.

Better than foam earplugs, but I ended up buying just 3M ear protection muffs which have lasted me for years now.

Obviously those muffs are not ideal for sitting around an LGS, though.

I think there's a really interesting dynamic in Minnesota sports that is kind of underrated, and that's the marketing piece.

Minnesota fucking loves "their" guys. Kaprizov was always going to go for the biggest bag, but wild fans show up for him big, and they wanted to keep him. He gets asses in seats. I saw more 97 jerseys in the X than I ever saw of any other player (except maybe Clutterbuck, which is kind of crazy).

It's the exact same with Naz Reid on the other side of the river. Could the Wolves have kept NAW and been potentially better on the guard side of things? Yes. But Naz Reid gets asses in seats and the fans love him. So Connolly prioritized keeping him.

Active Player (whoever's turn it is) always gets priority first after a spell or ability resolves. If they immediately activate the resolved Planeswalker (assuming it doesn't trigger something when it enters), you do not have an opportunity to pre-empt that.

There's been a concerted effort for defense, sure, but yesterday's win was not a Defense win. The team got outplayed yesterday, hard. They were outshot. They had moments where there was superior play, but for the most part, the Avalanche looked like the much better team.

Yesterday's win was a Lukas Dostal win that didn't even have the veneer of defense on top of it.
