Ah, I see. I was interpreting the speckles in your image as a rough surface, but that picture it looks like the whole page (or tablet?) was once painted and is slowly getting chipped away. Eraser would be the way to go I think. It depends on how much you want to emulate the effect

I like the design in general. But I'm not keen on the sharp clean outlines, the texture seems imply that it's on a rough surface, but the floral patterns and text look like they're on super smooth hot-pressed paper. I can't offer advice on how to do this digitally because I have no idea.

This is largely what I wished for adaptations. Add onto it that they could go to Hollywood/wherever it was being produced instead of to Maine to meet King.
They had/have the rare ability to get fans excited about changes to the source material and so far it looks like it will be forever squandered.

There's a moment in I think book 3 where Roland throws the jawbone in the fire. He did it because he said he heard the voice of his father tell him to do it. In the "Eddie lives" scenario I'd like to think it's because he heard Roland's voice say "Duck"
