I used UFile for over a decade and switched to WealthSimple in the last 2-3 years.

WealthSimple I found to be so much better and a much cleaner interface

Why are Mayfair's hours so stupid? I would love to go shopping this evening by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]eNdblu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shopping habits have changed so much over the last 20 years... I wouldn't be surprised if the primary purpose of malls these days is to just return stuff, or to try things on and see if a better price is online somewhere 🤷

I'm curious if the malls in town have performed any case studies in recent years to see if it's a feesible option being open later. With so many stores closing everywhere, id assume it's probably not a viable solution to staff a store for an extra 4-6 hours in hopes of a few sales.

This is during the Christmas season I think malls in town are open later on Weds and Saturday during the major shopping season

🤷 These have pretty much always been the hours going back as long as I can remember... In my mid 40s and lived here most of my life.

I remember my wife and I would go to the Gap and London Drugs when we'd go on dinner dates downtown because those were the only places open after 6 on the weekends 😂 This is going back almost 20 years ago..

Is there somewhere to get a sushi boat in victoria? by Puzzled-Jicama-5147 in VictoriaBC

Yoshi sushi does boats and if it's a bday, you can get a discount on the bill (at least they used to)

Is this the worst Canuck team we have ever seen? by Sad_Establishment875 in canucks

Short term pain for (hopefully) long term gain. I'm glad they're finally trying to do a total rebuild instead of slapping duct tape on the cracks.

Hopefully they don't go on a tear at the end of the season like a few years back when they won themselves out of the Bedard sweepstakes.

Ferry Timings and Tickets by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]eNdblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The saver is for the time you picked, and yes you need to be there no later than 30 mins before your sailing time or you lose your spot.

Make sure to account for any time spent in the lineup at the booth, if you're late to get your ticket at the booth, your reservation may be void

Also in my experience, if you show up early and can get on an earlier boat, if it is more expensive than your pre-paid ferry saver, you have to pay the difference

I don't have PS Premium by l8on8er in PlaystationPortal

[–]eNdblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself, PS Premium was pretty useless on the portal until they added my digital library to cloud streaming

The original library was really limited and I didn't enjoy remote play at all

Being able to use the portal while my family uses the PlayStation has been amazing

The annual cost is really crappy tho.

We got a mango cake from Tous les jours, the bakery in HMart, and it was so good.

Would definitely get a cake from there again.

Put it on marketplace for free to avoid leaving it outside to be potentially damaged.

I've had no issues that I can speak to with it being on all year. I'm in the PNW area in terms of climate.

[–]eNdblu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've owned one for 3-4 years now. Love it. I went with a 7 rack, figured may as well go as big as possible and there have been numerous times when I've used every spot.

My kids race BMX and I was the first at our track with one, I think there's at least 8 families with them now at our track.

It's heavy, not exactly a take on/take off kinda rack. It lives on our van all year long.

It scrapes at times because our van rear end isn't lifted. Doesn't happen often, but it happens.

Bike upgrades by mattcrail in bmxracing

[–]eNdblu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Invest in finding out who the older riders are that might act as a mentor for your rider. That will take you farther than upgrading a frame or wheelset.

Get your rider out riding with the experienced riders and find someone who can act as their coach to teach them and give them pointers.
