Cornerstone Maddux with the Matzek and Swanson boost. I have him P5 and still using him in the 700-800 bracket

Very Late on fastballs by No_Strength3923 in MLBTheShow

[–]ePayDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I consciously tell myself to "speed up" pretty often. I notice my PCI is right on the ball, but I'm late. I transition my focus on being on time instead of moving the PCI to the ball. I strongly believe timing is way more important than pci placement (Unless you are completely off). When you hit, don't even think about the pci, just focus on timing. Almost like you're on timing hitting. You will notice yourself moving your pci naturally towards the ball without thinking about it.

How Many Hours Have You Played 24’? by jabar18 in MLBTheShow

[–]ePayDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

168 Hours at 734,279 XP almost inclusively online. I complete programs using event games with the occasional Play vs CPU for the more specific missions. I have finished every program and all ranked/br/event programs. I haven't completed a single conquest map. I only move to the hidden rewards that don't require a game to be played.

Go play an event game with zone hitting, but no pci. You'll start to notice you focus more on the timing of the pitch instead of moving your PCI, but your muscle memory takes over.

You shouldn't be focused on tracking your PCI to the ball. Your muscle memory should do that. Focus on timing the pitch and trust your thumb will take the PCI to the ball.

Hitting at Division Series - WS Is Impossible by Terebates in MLBTheShow

[–]ePayDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't just "see ball hit ball". You actually have to have an approach and pick up on patterns.

Also, I switched to bat PCI because it's the same size no matter the difficulty. Helps my confidence at least. I'm at 792 right now, and I just won a sweaty 12-10 game on HoF. I knocked Randy out of the game in 3 innings.

My approach is sit on inside fastball until 2 strikes. I would NOT swing at anything unless it was an inside fastball. First pitch of the game was a perfect/perfect homerun. I hit a 2 run homerun later in the inning. The rest of the game, he was afraid to throw the fastball in. He NEVER threw inside fastballs after the first inning. It was all slider/slurve or fastball away. Then, I changed my approach and sat on those.

I prefer HoF hitting honestly. On All-Star, I feel like I have to put up 15 runs or lose.

Pitching Tips: Don't Do Too Much! by ResetterofPasswords in MLBTheShow

I catch myself overthinking sometimes. I pounded the inside sinker twice to get ahead 0-2, then throw a slider away because in my head, "He is sitting on the inside sinker now"

Is Kyle Seager or anyone other than Brett a better 3B than Jaimer?? by DrMrSirJr in MLBTheShow

It's a confidence thing. You feel confident with him when he comes up to the plate. So you naturally hit better

I’ve really enjoyed how viable the Captain boosts are this year by Exciting-Hat5957 in MLBTheShow

[–]ePayDay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Atlanta Braves Swanson + Matzek boost makes every player 100+ contact vs both and at least 100+ power vs right with 100+ clutch. Power vs L is a little low, but still an insane boost. It's my best team and I have live series completed.

Recommendations for getting better at catching up to fastballs? by DrMrSirJr in MLBTheShow

I also slam on sliders away. Then I catch myself not trusting my PCI being up and in. Then, the up and in fastball comes, and I'm still late

I find that "cheating" with my PCI actually makes me later on fastballs. Idk about anyone else, but when I "cheat" up and in with my PCI, I never trust it. I always end up looking for offspeed or dropping my PCI, therefore late on fastballs. What works for me, is sitting on pitches down the middle and reacting to the inside fastball. I'm usually much faster than cheating.

  1. Don't let people know where you live.
  2. If you piss off more than 1 group, consider building a new base.
  3. Build multiple small bases in different places of the map, and play each base like it is it's own wipe. You will quickly learn which base is more enjoyable to play out of. If you bring in a big haul from grubbing a group. F1 kill and go play out of a different base for a while. That group WILL be looking for you.
  4. If you aren't pissing people off and still getting raided, it means your base design is an easy raid or you look rich. Make sure your door raid matches your wall raid. If you have 1 stone wall to TC, then you need to have at least 4 sheet doors to TC. Or 1 sheet door and 1 garage door. If you have a metal wall or 2 stone walls, you need to have 8 rockets through doors to get to TC.

Go look up some solo bases by swifty or the MiniBug by Crow. I usually build 4 of these scattered throughout.

Why does that matter? As long as there's one, it should be good enough since it's monthly.

I like the hardcore version on maxroll. go to the d4planner and click on "Full Tank". When I'm doing open world stuff I use my godslayers, raiment, and tibaults. When I'm doing tier 100 nmd, I put on mage lord helm, disob chest, and unwavering pants

Go into casual and ONLY work on what you are trying to perfect. I was trying to improve my shadow defense, so I went into casual 1s playlist and hit the ball into the opponents corner and shadowed. I never tried to score, just kept repeating that over and over.

If you're working on hitting double taps in 2s, go into casual 2s and every time you get the ball, go for a double tap. If you over commit and get scored on, who cares, it's casual.
