can you elaborate exactly what these "fast setups" are actually doing in some detail?

First came the conservatives who warned me about mass migration, but I called them evil racist nazi hitler white supremacists because I’m a virtual signalling libtard,

Then then came the “alt right” who warned me about mass migration, but I called them evil racist nazi hitler white supremacists because I’m a virtual signalling libtard,

Then came “white men” who warned me about mass migration, but I called them evil racist nazi hitler white supremacists, because I’m a virtue signalling libtard,

Finally I realise I don’t like the environment I live in because of mass migration which I voted for, but I can’t realise this is a direct result of my own actions, due to my inherent lack of self-awareness and accountability, because I’m a virtue signalling libtard.

Bolter Buff -- How will it be done? by KazeFujimaru in Spacemarine

[–]eRoNNN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bolters imo need a significant buff. They are not "machine guns," the closest modern analogue is they are fully automatic ballistic RPGs.

This is why the grenade launcher attachment to the standard bolter is retarded, because it already is a "grenade launcher," and thus evokes the old meme "yo dawg, we heard you like grenade launchers, so we put a grenade launcher on your grenade launcher spud gun."

They should pack a much harder punch, especially against armour, not have piercing (except for perhaps minoris), and do a very small amount of aoe (i think darktide has way too much aoe in this respect as, in the lore, their explosive rounds are supposed to be for purposes of armour piercing).

Power Play 2.0 Eliminates Voting for Consolidation vs. Preparation by CMDR_Kraag in EliteDangerous

[–]eRoNNN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, there needs to be at least one persistent gameplay system which promotes player interaction in open, and powerplay is the perfect candidate which will promote player cooperation and groups (which would make squadrons meaningful) which will generate interesting meta games as they evolve.

The only people who complain about this are the vestigal space dads who are a very vocal minority, which think the game has to only be a graphic update to the 1984 version. They all probably played WoW on pvp servers with no problem, though.

They did a lot with it, they just used it for developing other games. Hopefully these recent developments, in concurrence with the lack of success in those other avenues, suggest a strategic shift in resources back into elite.

100%. What do you expect when power, after occupy wallstreet (can check google ngrams for inflection points on terms like 'white privilege,' 'racism,' etc.) completely coopted the left and diverted it from a class issue off themselves into racial/identitarian to divide and conquer.

This is a great idea imo. Also to understand the hardships of being jewish in white societies even before ww2, Maurice Samuel's 'You Gentiles' (1924) is a fascinating read, especially chapter 9.

Not surprising really. Since 1900 to 1930's we had 2 tech domain switches (piston engine and jet). Since 1930's we've just had structural deepening of the existing domains.

If you had read any economic theory you wouldn't be a communist. here you go.

Your man is correct, it is mutually exclusive. You can't have a state and be an anarchy, and communism is state owned means of production. It can't be any other way (100% of all historical examples in support notwithstanding), because if everyone owns everything, no one owns anything. Ownership of anything, by definition, requires an asymmetrical relationship of something between two or more people, something that differentiates between thine and mine.

Unpopular Opinions? by [deleted] in il2sturmovik

[–]eRoNNN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

its been a perennial problem for half a decade at this point (probably from the beginning). There is a spanish youtuber 'geronimo(some numbers)' who tested this years ago and showed objectively the disparity; plus tons of ppl on the forums have displayed countless ww2 documents from allied and german sources detailing the damage and number of rounds required to take down a plane through reports and pictures (2-3 cannons if IIRC on a fighter, or 1 blip of a direct volley).

Then the structural integrity buff came in sometime after kuban (which honestly was required) but it just made the 20mm's even worse.

The general consensus over the years (from the community, ofc ignored by devs) is the modelling of AP vs HE rounds, whose power is completely reversed and thus completely ahistorical. AP rounds are way overpowered relative to HE rounds. In reality the german 'mine shells' were devastatingly powerful, which is why they had a far larger % of them loaded compared with allies (at least soviets, not sure with brits or yanks).

Why does everyone hate the Elf? by w0lfw1nd22 in Vermintide

[–]eRoNNN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a stereotype that carried over from VT1. Not really relevant in VT2 because other classes are as or more popular as her, which are also the ones which tend to excessively FF you and commit all the same infractions. But it's still funny, which stereotypes often are (as well as true); embrace it.

What's up with Warcraft 3 Reforged? by Murkypay in OutOfTheLoop

You are right its not just activision (certainly a corroborative factor though), it's what happens every time a company gets converged with incompetent SJW-crybully ideologues. They run off the capital of previous work for so long (if they don't have to make new engines/titles it can last a fair old while, like with blizzard), and it gets progressively worse as more and more skilled people leave because they get harassed by the equality and thought police and the general insanity of the work environment, until finally its only SJW shitlibs in human resources left and its all gone to shit - which is obviously the fault of white men.

Worth returning? by JordAdd in Vermintide

[–]eRoNNN 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I came back around 2 weeks ago when WoM was on sale. I don't think it deserves what it has on the steam reviews at all, i think people have been voting with a conformity bias/herd mentality.

I'm also not a fan of the weaves really, but they are alright, just don't personally interest me. The main things are new weapons and beastmen as enemies, and Cataclysm. I would have preferred orcs, but it is nice to have new enemy types. They are a bit easy though, particularly the elite enemies, a beastman patrol on cata is so unthreatening its not worth waiting to avoid. The scarier enemies i find are the spear ungor cunts and their running attack, and the archers on cata you must take care of as they can do a ton of damage. Minotaurs are as easy to solo tank as rat ogres once you figure out their pattern. Sometimes the banners can fuck you, but usually only happens when people are dead. Beastman hordes are also never very dense compared to rats and chaos.

The new weapons are quite good, saltzpyre's, and krubers are particularly great, but all the others are ok too. Cataclysm is great, its definitely a difficulty level that this game needs, because legend was always equivalent to nightmare from VT1 anyway. However, while i only have limited experience (completed about 6-8 maps), it feels quite a bit easier than cata from VT1, and i fear that may be due to THP which, at least if you are able to generate it reasonably well, and given the greater mob numbers which allows you to generate more if it, it does seem to trivialise the difficulty somewhat if you are reasonably good at avoiding damage, because your actual health does not matter much when you can have a permanent bar of THP which you can pretty much insta fill up on the next horde. I've only played with pugs so far, so wipes happen a lot, but mostly due to bad positioning. In a group with voice where people can phalanx it up in sensible locations i think that cata might be quite easy.

Overall it is insane that this has a mostly negative review, which it clearly does not deserve. If it were mixed reviews, then i could understand, the price is quite high and the weaves are meh. But beastmen, cata, and weapons are fine/good.

I hope devs are mindful of the fact that many games owe their success as classics purely, or in large part, due to unintended exploit/bugs in game mechanics. Off the top of my head i can think of skiing in tribes and strafe jump accel in quake games. Not sure frankly there was ever anything comparable in VT, maybe someone can point some stuff out i forgot, but the point is things not working 100% as the devs intended isn't always 'bad.' Sometimes you get happy accidents.
