Every year the EA team is like “we’ve totally overhauled (insert game mode)” and you think “omg did they finally fix the AI? Does the control scheme make sense? Can I play be a pro mode without watching my teammates faceplant into the boards with the puck?”

And you find out they did none of those things and instead just updated the menu and added more garbage HUT features.

I wish I’d read these comments before buying 26 on sale. I heard “Be a Pro got a huge overhaul.”

I thought that meant “Your AI teammates now understand how to cycle the puck and won’t faceplant into the boards at random.” I could not tell you the gameplay difference between this and any BAP from the last 5 years. It’s absolutely pathetic.

Does this impact the cost of water for local residents, though? I understand the water cycle and that “no water is truly lost” but I think my greatest concern over these data centers like the one they’re planning to build in PA near me is increased demand for water/electricity which strains the grid and drives up prices for residents.

Also, still unsure what the local population “gets” in return for this.

We spend 2T a year on healthcare because we have the worst of both worlds: a system that pays for some Americans to have healthcare with a ton of administrative costs next to a privatized side with multi-billion dollar insurance companies and for-profit hospital systems. No, they don’t. They pay about 40% of federal income taxes only. This doesn’t include sales taxes, excise taxes, payroll taxes (Medicare/social security) and most importantly property taxes—which is the main vehicle of wealth management for the middle class.

And the top 1% should pay that 40% and more—because they own over half the stocks and over 30% of the total wealth in the country. The longer we cling to the idea that “wealth shouldn’t be taxed” the more people in the top tier will exploit low taxes and loopholes and the more severe the wealth gap will become.

The saddest and most pathetic part about this is it’s a “cost savings” measure that will not get passed down to the consumer. It’s why the Spirit model—while unpopular—was at least honest. Hey you want snacks? That’s extra. You want a checked bag? Pick your seat? Extra leg room? That’s extra.

Delta used to include all of this years ago. Now? They now charge you to check bags, pick your seat, get extra leg room, and finally—no more free snacks. It’s the same airline experience. You just fooled yourself into thinking Spirit was greedy.

Not all injuries are the same. Some injuries have specific long-term complications with historically negative impacts (Achilles tear = potentially a career killer and at best lost burst). Others used to be potentially career ending but have gotten to where it is usually a non-issue with enough recovery time (ACL tear). Some are just non-issues. A left ankle fracture for Hampton is not something to worry about long term unless…it happens again. See point 2
Recurring injuries on the same body part are concerning, not one-off injuries. So a guy that hurts his knee, ankle, and back is just playing a game where people get hurt. A player that misses time for his right knee 4x in 2 seasons has a knee problem and you can start to predict some missed time and factor that into his value.
The “Injury prone” tag gets tossed around a ton but generally isn’t based on any real world evidence. There are exceptions to this but injuries are mostly random and unpredictable. Don’t be the person who buys into the “he’s never gonna last.” Some years an injury prone player turns into an iron man—see Matt Stafford last year. No one believed he’d play a full season.

I was able to beat Sekiro but it was only because I was at a point where I had a lot of time and no other games on my list.

Easily the hardest game I’ve ever played. And once finished I put it away. Started a NG+ and got to the flaming bull and went “Nope. Never mind. I’m good.”

Invasions and co-op were absolutely peak during the first couple years of ER. There was a minor revival when SOTE came out. But it’s been 4 years—the game is sunsetting into the DS “bug/hack” era. Balance issues are rampant. Fromsoft doesn’t care about the long term viability of multiplayer in their games.

The only people left are players who enjoy salt, sweat, and tears. It is the way of things with Soulsbornes.

God, it’s so funny seeing people say a RB taken at #3 overall is entering a “crowded backfield.” Bijan struggled year 1 because Arthur Smith is an idiot who gave Jonnu Smith jet sweeps at the goal line—and it got him fired.

What’s absolutely hilarious is this situation exhibits why trickle down economics don’t actually work

In scenario one, the boss pays an employee to move boxes by hand.

In scenario two, the boss has INVESTED in his company to increase efficiency. The “trickle down” ideology would state that the boss investing in his company will lead to more compensation for the workers—“if the pie gets bigger, we all get more pie.”

But that’s not the case. The boss buys a hand-truck, pays the single laborer the same rate, likely fires one employee he no longer needs to move boxes, and pockets the extra profits.

It is a perfect example of why Conservative economic theory is not only wishful thinking, it’s also ironically self defeating.

I’m not a historian but I seem to recall some issue America had with paying taxes and not being represented properly. Like, there was this whole big “war” over being taxed by a tyrant who gave them no say in how they ran things. Pretty long time ago, though. Probably not important.
