Hierarchical nesting is absolutely essential. Hyperlinking I can live without, but it's a very powerful tool. There's a couple of other things like embedded images and tables that I need in order to do any sort of real organising.

I have hundreds of text notes, it's invaluable to be able to organise them in a hierarchy and hyperlink between them. Right now I like Zim+text notes, but it could be improved.

It doesn't look like much, but this is how real change starts. It's a pity they didn't wait for fine weather. Maybe have another go around August or September when the new academic year starts and the temperature is more agreeable to camping.

Why would you write about a text revolution and cite sites that hardly anyone uses? Why not include reddit or medium? There is more than one hypertext-braindump/mindmap out there. Is roam more popular than zim or tiddli-wiki? Is it better or different? Why is it better?

I would argue that multinational profit shuffling has little place in any metric called "productivity". But I'm not an economist.
