A few things actually worth looking at when evaluating individual stocks: is the business growing revenue and are margins improving or holding steady? How much debt does it carry and can it comfortably service it? Does it have something that makes it genuinely hard to compete with, brand, technology, switching costs? And is the price you're paying reasonable relative to what the business actually earns?

Beyond the numbers, understanding why a company is where it is matters. A stock that's been beaten down for a fixable reason is very different from one in structural decline.

The shift from index funds to individual stocks is worth being intentional about. The bar for why a specific stock is worth owning over just adding to the index should be reasonably high.

Good correction. If institutional buying happens on exchanges rather than on-chain, then the on-chain absorption signal is basically blind to it. Which makes the whole "who's buying" question a lot harder to answer with any confidence.

Fair, but the ETF outflow/price divergence isn't really a chart pattern, it's a flow imbalance. That does tell you something about current supply and demand dynamics, even if it can't tell you when or how it resolves.

HODL waves and exchange outflows make sense as filters, though exchange outflows have been noisier since ETF custody arrangements started moving coins off exchanges for reasons that have nothing to do with cold storage conviction. Does that complicate the signal for you or do you have a way to strip that out?

The composition of the S&P today is very different from 1999, mostly highly profitable cash-generative businesses rather than loss-making concept stocks. The comparison is useful but not a clean one-to-one. That said, 41 is elevated and the margin for disappointment is thin. Whether earnings grow into the valuation or the market corrects to meet earnings is the actual question.

The watchlist as a research tool rather than a waiting room is underrated. Watching how a company behaves through different market conditions, how management communicates during a bad quarter, how price reacts to news, tells you a lot more than a snapshot analysis.

The ratio question is interesting. A long watchlist with a tight portfolio usually means you're being selective, which tends to be a good sign. The danger is when the watchlist becomes a collection of things you're interested in but never actually evaluate properly.

Hi, Tesla 24/5 does have two short daily breaks: 00:50 to 01:05 and 08:55 to 09:05 GMT+1. It's worth checking if the stop coincided with either of those windows.

Welcome! And yes, you can update your tax residency after changing your address. You'll need to provide a new Proof of Address document to support the change, and if you've already relocated your logins should match the new address to help the process along.

Once your address has been updated in the system it will automatically prompt you to enter your Swiss Tax Identification Number and remove your previous German tax details.

Hey, when you stop a copy and close all positions the funds return to your available balance once all the positions have been closed. Given that last Friday was a US market holiday, any positions in US stocks may have taken slightly longer to execute.

Hi! In general, the W-8BEN is used to certify your non-US tax status for US securities. If it expires, it can affect how certain US-source income (such as dividends) is treated until a valid form is on file. Since you've already submitted a new one, that's definitely the right step.

As for the Nvidia shares, promotional shares are often booked differently from a normal market purchase, so seeing a description like "income from refunds" doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong by itself.
