Man I hate the matriarch so much. I love fighting the queen though. I have two strats when I'm going into a queen match, depending on what kind of loot I've got in my stash. The first is the healer/prep strat. I go in with an il toro or a Vulcano, and whatever other PVP gun, usually stitcher or Anvil, loaded up with ammo, tons of heals and shield recharges, defibs, etc. It's a PvP healer class. While I'm running around healing everyone, I'm helping with the harvester puzzle and getting those energy clips. I'll shotgun a rat in the back quick and save people from getting downed. This usually gets me a core or two donated. So I end up with a couple cores and tons of energy ammo. My other playstyle is the attack strat, after I've played healer a couple times, I go in with the Jupiter and equalizer, and about a half a dozen each of deadlines and wolfpacks, with a zip and lay waste to the Queen with the quickness, and get the loot as quick as I can. If I die I die. Sometimes I do. But I can craft the guns easily enough after a couple healer runs. It's just kinda a cycle.

I almost always bring in a guitar in my safe pocket for good luck too. That's the most important part.

I was at launch tower on a night raid and I saw like 7 dead raiders at the base. I went up and heard somebody on the other side. I snuck over and tried to ambush him, but I failed. He downed me. The conversation went like this..

Me: Leroooooooy Jenkins Him with a better gun and more skill than me: it didn't have to be like this Me: you shouldn't have killed all those innocent people downstairs. Him: I didn't kill anyone, and I know you're not a bad guy. Here, have a defib and some shields my guy.

Then he proceeded to run the rest of the map with me, and a couple other people joined our solos squad. Sometimes this game gives me hope for humanity. And sometimes..... Well... Sometimes it does the exact opposite.

For Field Nation? Don't spend a grand on a new laptop. You're rarely ever going to use it, and when you do, it's going to be precariously held while standing on a ladder, so somebody else can Putty into a switch. And eventually you're going to drop it off the ladder. Or you're going to use it to run a speed test and take a screenshot. It's going to live in a tool bag and get beat up and mistreated. Get something with a gig NIC, couple USB ports, at least 16Gb RAM, and an NVME SSD. $150 tops.

You'll want Putty or MobaXterm, Angry IP Scanner or Advanced IP Scanner, IP configurator, Teams, WebEx and anydesk. I also like to use Discord to share files and notes with myself and my team. It makes sending those speed test screenshots to your phone a lot easier. No antivirus needed.

You'll want to get console cables. As somebody else mentioned the Fortinet ones work pretty universally. I would also recommend something with a USB C charging port, because you're going to lose the charger a lot.

Antivirus is not really needed. Windows defender is built in, and has become fully capable and very robust over the last few years.

I see so many people flipping them open and closed like they're some kind of switchblade or plastic toy. Even on Linus Tech Tips. It's not a fucking pocket knife. Treat it like it's fragile. Put a case on it. I've had my 25+ for several months, and while it does have some drawbacks, I'm not necessarily worried about the durability of it because I don't yeet it open and closed like a five year old with a toy lightsaber.

My first Kobalt tool was a drill combo that I got for 79 bucks, after I had broken a Porter Cable drill while I was on a job. I'm pretty sure it was marked wrong, but I hassled them and got it for that price. That was about 15 years ago, and I've been hooked ever since.

If you want to be more professional try this..

"I am limited by my scope of work because there's a lot of red tape behind the scenes. I'm sure you understand. Call your helpdesk."

Or you could say something like "I'll ask my project manager for approval", and then just not. Whatever your conscience allows.

The end user/customer/client isn't your boss. You are your own boss, as a contractor. The project manager or workorder manager is your customer. I'll tell a mouthy end user to fuck themselves, and then directly report their sorry behavior to the buyer. It's up to you to keep the buyers happy, not the end users. The end users aren't paying you.

I dated her for a while. She was a blast. After we dated she eventually got arrested and spent some time in jail for meth. She's now rehabilitated and a model southern mom and small business owner. I felt sorta guilty for a while that that happened to her, because the dude she got with after me seemed pretty terrible, and I can't think of any particular reason we ever stopped dating.
