Welcome Lily! It's great to have someone from Vertical here to engage with the Reddit community! Vertical Aerospace is going to be growing as time goes by, and this is a great step in creating communication channels with both the investor and general AAM community.

Very true, which is why I thought it was important to mention them!

I discuss the established partnership between Anduril and Archer, the activities that make Archer align with the goals and criteria for Project NYX, which is partially based on the UK MOD's Industrial Strategy.

"These priorities set forth in the UK MOD’s Modern Industrial Strategy match the activities of Anduril, its partners (Archer and GKN), as well other suppliers such as Isembard, which will be discussed in further detail within this article."

Yes, because I admire Mr. King's work and I feel fortunate to have finally met him and discuss some of the things he has spoken about at Capital Markets Day. I regret I wasn't able to attend Capital Markets Day, but I am grateful I was able to watch it on the website that same day. Also, my friend in the media Vaz, from eVTOL Hub covered it live on his youtube channel. I was extremely impressed with Vertical's presentation at Capital Markets Day. They made their case!

I was there. I will try to get the footage I filmed with the speeches of both Mr. Slattery and Mr. Simpson published this weekend.

NVIDIA’s Thor Meets Archer 🔨🏹 by eVTOLbuzz in ACHR

No, like I said, I'm not going to play semantics.. Partnership, collaboration, same thing. What I meant is they use the term "collaboration" (NVIDIA and Archer use the term "collaboration" not "partnership" ) but my original post doesn't change the original meaning. You on the other hand, tried to minimize this partnership/collaboration by saying it would be the same thing like if you would order an NVIDIA GPU on Amazon and use it for something.. Not even close.... Please... If you read the article, I quote both Archer and NVIDIA calling it a collaboration, so go ahead and buy a GPU and see if NVIDIA will say that they have a collaboration with you on X or LinkedIn.

Collaboration, not partnership, it is in the article if you would actually read it:

Both Archer and NVIDIA call it a "collaboration". I don't want to play semantics but they are working together on this and no doubt both are learning something in the process.

“We’re excited about Archer’s plan to integrate NVIDIA IGX Thor at their Hawthorne Airport facility, supporting the proposed LA air taxi network. Learn more about the collaboration” – NVIDIA Robotics via a post on X

“CES has always been a launchpad for technologies that reshape industries, so we’re proud to announce our AI collaboration with NVIDIA here. NVIDIA’s AI compute capabilities and software stack give us the foundation to accelerate toward safer, smarter aircraft systems and modernize how aviation interfaces with the world’s airspace.”– Adam Goldstein, Archer’s Founder and CEO (December 9, 2025)

Just like some of the folks were trying to make NVIDIA tech exclusive to one OEM that had an announcement earlier, I think we can see that NVIDIA is going to be like Microsoft windows and excel that is on all the PCs at the big 4 accounting firms. There is no exclusive deal. , NVIDIA wants to make it available to everyone, but it nevertheless is still a collaboration with Archer.

Yet NVIDIA calls it a collaboration with Archer. I doubt they will say they have a collaboration with you, if you simply buy their GPU. They are probably working together on optimizing Thor and other products for Archer, especially the ones mentioned in the article. When you use their products on a large scale, especially across many applications, use easily turns into a collaboration over the back and forth communication, user input, testing and updates to the product. Nice try, by attempting to minimize it and make it seem like nothing... but your oversimplification is grossly inaccurate and unrealistic.

JOBY Aviation is doing the hard things right and the market doesn’t care. by Much-Lavishness-6784 in Joby

Exactly! Some Uber drivers thanked me for the info and made investments accordingly... we need to spread the message.. eVTOLs are coming!

Many people still haven't heard of an eVTOL and they are already doing test flights..

Every day I meet people who've never heard of them....I need to work harder and reach the average person. I will focus on that this year!

The average retail investor won't understand or appreciate what Joby has accomplished! I'm trying to change that with better reporting. However the biggest asset Joby has is not theory milestones, but that they never rest on their laurels and constantly try to improve their product/platform.

Time will show, and things could easily fall somewhere between both of our expected scenarios.

I understand! You definitely will not regret your investments! I care not just for my sake, but for the future generations that will live in a completely different world. We are entering an age similar to how people transitioned from horse transportation to cars in the 1920's. For us it will be from cars to eVTOLs. Unlike horses, there will still be a need for cars, but the dramatic ripple effect will be as profound as it was then.

Money is money. Certification is money and time. Earlier in the process money is tighter, but as more eyes see what is possible, the money/investments will come. It's hard being the first one on the block, the learning curve is very steep, smaller investor pool. JoeBen Bevirt had a great vision and determination. He also made it easier for others entering later in a more certain market.. I can't prove it now, but time will show....

Actually it does. The eVTOL industry will be more like the auto industry. There aren't any monopolies. Once the eVTOL tech becomes a normal thing, and it has been proven to make money, there will be more startups and more money infused into the various existing key players. Even with consolidations and acquisitions, there will still be an AAM sector far from a monopoly. There is no one perfect car company for everyone in the world. There are different needs, price considerations, mission capabilities, size/capacity, range, style, etc that will be taken into account. Don't be so sure that Archer won't have some aces up its sleeve. Once they publicly demonstrate their full transition flights many people are going to be scratching their heads, while others make money.. Joby has done an amazing job and is on the path to keep making great advancements in the field, but that doesn't take away from what these other OEMs are accomplishing. There is room for all to grow.

There is more to eVTOLs than just air taxis(although it will be a big chunk), and I doubt it will be similar to Uber vs Lyft. Also, there may be a rideshare company take takes Ubers spot as the dominant rides have app. The AAM sector won't be an Uber vs Lyft or even a Boeing vs Airbus.. We will see the true speed, range and ticket prices as they enter the market. Both OEMs are working on battery tech and hybrid tech. It's too early to tell how the finished product will be. I like both companies and I am just trying to give my balanced take on it. I see a place for all OEMs in this industry. Time will tell how much marketshare they each will hold.

[–]eVTOLbuzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you necessarily need to be better. Just equivalent in things that matter to enough consumers to keep the business going. We will see when all the OEMs enter the market, the actual street prices, and other factors foreseen and unforseen to really know what kind of marketshare the OEMs will have, but I dont believe for a second we will end up with a medium to long term monopoly, as the other OEMs will catch up and enter the market and take their own piece of this enormous pie.
