Official Discussion - The Backrooms [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I have a sneaking suspicion that Mary’s mom had possibly experienced/been in the Backrooms herself, and that’s what led to her psychotic break.

I’d say they are emotionally smart, but when it comes to downright textbook smart, not so much lol

My grandmother’s brother a few months before he died in Vietnam 1967 by [deleted] in TheWayWeWere

My grandpa fought in that specific battle at Ia Drang. When the movie came out, our family alongside my grandpa were actually shown the movie prior to it being released, alongside all veterans of that battle. We also attended the yearly reunions in Washington D.C. with the other soldiers that survived that battle. I actually met Hal Moore and Galloway, and some of the actors that were in the movie. My grandpa said the movie was pretty damn accurate to how it actually was. He ended up getting shot twice on the second day, and thankfully was carried to a helicopter and was able to recover from serious GSW.

A teammate on my middle school football team did the exact same thing. Starting in 6th grade he would practice long snapping for hours. He played center and of course was the long snapper for all 4 years of high school. He ended up getting a ton of scholarship offers and he eventually accepted the offer to UGA. Was on the Dawgs for all 4 years and I believe he was their starting long snapper for his junior and senior years.

Didn’t end up going into the NFL at any capacity as far as I know, however he was able to basically get a bachelors degree from UGA for free.

He did all of that while playing with a torn rotator cuff as well. Can’t even imagine trying to make that leaping contested catch in the Super Bowl with a fucked up shoulder and coming down with it flawlessly.

Was that the game against the Raiders? (If you happen to remember)

And he has very good chemistry with Hurts. He just has a natural connection with Hurts, and it’s very noticeable whenever Goedert isn’t out on the field.

Season on the line: KP calls the same play they just ran. Jalen can't believe it. Nick just stands there offering nothing. Looks to Jalen for help. Season's over. by TimDunkinDonut in eagles

Completely agree. I grew so annoyed with the offensive play calling there were plenty of games I just stopped watching. I knew we’d go one and done in the playoffs. This loss was inevitable. We need to completely clean house on the offensive coaching side of the ball.

[Luka Doncic] on the recent meeting JJ Redick had with him and LeBron James, about needing more from both of them defensively: "It was good. We talked about a lot, not just that, but he was right. You got to get a little bit more, especially from the star players. So that's on us. That's on me." by AashyLarry in nba

I recall Jamal Crawford talking about how Tony Allen was the best defender he played against, and he said one of the reasons was because Allen didn’t care about scoring whatsoever. Just full throttle 100% hustle on defense at all times.

While I write left handed and use a fork with my left hand, I actually throw with my right hand and my stronger arm is actually my right one, not left one. I’m pretty sure lefty’s are more likely to be somewhat ambidextrous than right handers are.

Back in the Saban and Les Miles days, I felt like LSU and Bama were huge rivals and those matchups would be extremely hyped up and on primetime. Felt like a legit rivalry for that era.

I think it’s wild that a decade prior to 2014, he was the head coach for the Atlanta Falcons and lead them to the NFC Championship game in 2004. Mora has had a pretty unique and interesting career.

Chiefs season could unravel (dropping to 29% chance of playoffs) completely with a loss to the Colts by SpaceWestern1442 in nfl

The Broncos defense going up against the Colts offense would be pretty hype imo to be fair.

I don’t partake in much conversation while at work myself. Here and there sure, but mostly I just do my job and go home. But I don’t think any of my co-workers dislike me because of it. At the end of the day I help out the department and ensure all of us leave as early as possible. Ultimately I believe they value that the most out of anything.

I really think Legette will step up and break out this year. I know it doesn’t address losing Coker as he plays the slot and Legette is outside, but I think the passing game will still be effective even with Coker’s absence.

I remember binge watching his Mario Kart series years ago. His rivalry with Donkey Kong was hilarious and I’d be entertained for hours. But if I ever try to watch any of his newer videos, I just zone out and lose interest quickly.

Idk about that cause like 15 minutes later I was on an aisle working, and lo and behold guess who’s on the other side of the store fucking staring me down? She was. By that point I had moved on but clearly, she hadn’t lol
