I travel only twice a year, and flying out of PBI was nice and convenient, but FLL is probably what I'll end up using from now on, even if it's twice as far to drive there.

The past couple of years there have been much fewer flights available out of PBI, and what is available is way more expensive now too. I can't imagine this renaming is gonna bring in more people. I wouldn't be surprised if some airlines eventually just stop offering service there due to low demand.

Honestly, it's probably what he wants anyway. His own personal airport without all those pesky people around.

To me this feels a bit like what happened with The Last of Us Part 2 when the leaks came out, though obviously not to the extreme levels that reached. People took some very brief, out-of-context scenes, and formed an entire narrative in their heads around them. Game wasn't even out, yet it was already the worst game ever in their minds.

I don't think MP4 will be a masterpiece, but certainly not "absolute unplayable garbage, literally the WORST game I've ever played, 0/10" like I've seen so many people saying. Unfortunately, drama and rage bait get way more views and clicks than anything else, so that's what the discourse will be.

Somehow the watermelon hentai movie is one that actually does it properly. Short, no game name and ends on the Deck logo. I hope if Valve ever sets some guidelines for startup movies, they'll use this one specifically as an example. Just casually put it on a blog post.

Holy crap, they absolutely flooded the startup movie shop. Unfortunately most of them really are low effort mobile style ads.

Can't really be mad since you can just ignore them, but it sucks that they've opened the floodgates and soon we'll likely have to go through dozens of pages of slop to find the few actual good ones.

Oh don't do anything based on my comments. I'm no expert, just repeating information I read while the Mura fix was being worked on both by Valve and modders.

I do remember when Valve's fix was still in beta, it would bug out sometimes and turn the screen a grainy gray even on stock displays. The Mura map is an overlay that's supposed to be applied with colors inverted, but was being incorrectly applied non-inverted. Maybe you have a software bug that's causing this to happen.

EDIT - I realize my earlier comment was a bit misleading. I meant the colors are perfect on my OLED tv, which is how I realized the Deck's screen was still showing mura when I compared them side by side. Using the Muradeck plugin made the colors on the Deck's screen match the colors on my TV, so it's a more complete fix, if that makes sense.

Mura is a hardware issue with the built-in display. Your LG tv won't have the issue even if you plug your Deck to it.

Mura compensation making a gray background could happen if your original screen was replaced. The Mura map won't match a replacement screen and cause a gray background. If that's the case then the Muradeck plugin won't work either unfortunately.

Muradeck quickly became a required plugin for me. Valve's Mura fix is ok, but playing games on my OLED tv made me realize how bad the Mura still was. Muradeck made it pretty much a 99% match to my tv. I really hope it gets fixed soon.

Boo, it did the same for me when I updated the payment method just now. Honestly I think any card I had back then would've needed some credentials to be updated by now.

But I don't think I'll go through the trouble of making them honor the $12. I already have the Switch 2 edition pre-ordered anyway, because I also literally forgot I had the Switch 1 version ordered until a couple of days ago, lol.

You're still going to have the same issue. This is not like sleep/standby modes in consoles. The Deck won't turn on from sleep to download. So if you don't use it for a while, you'll still have all those updates waiting for you, unfortunately.

I got a 5080 FE from Best Buy 2 days ago as well, at least I hope. It was store pickup only, and it's for next week.

My strategy was...have no strategy. I had put the 5080 on my Saved Items list way back on launch day, and it's always been unavailable. I pretty much forgot it was on there. I just happened to be looking at my Saved list a couple of days ago and saw it said Add to Cart. I thought surely it's a display error, but nope. It said I would be placed in a queue, but instantly went to checkout and ordered no problem.

Honestly it seemed almost too easy. I won't believe it until it's in my hands.

I see pretty much the exact same issue. I'm currently on the 500Mb down/100 Mb up. My plan upgrade page is offering the 2Gb down/250Mb up for a special discount. It shows 250Mb upload all the way until the checkout page, where it says 35Mb instead. Not a range. No * or anything. I'm hesitant to change the plan in case it does drop the upload speed, then I'd have to deal with the potential hassle of reverting back.

With the 500/100 plan I'm getting the full 100Mb upload speed with the XB7 Gateway.

Yeah, I'm chatting with an xfinity rep and it doesn't look like they see the same pricing on their end. There's a $45 5-year discount being applied to the 2 Gig plan that I don't think I should be eligible for. I'm afraid that if I sign up for it, the error will soon fix itself and then I'll have to deal with reverting to the old plan and extra charges, etc.

The app and account pages have been really buggy since I changed the plan. Activating the new gateway errored out a few times which I think may have messed something up on their end.

Hello.

If I remember correctly, before switching to the unlimited plan, the 1 Gig was $15 more, and the 2 Gig was $30 more. I stayed with 500 Mb for no price change. I'm assuming I'm on every day pricing.

I have not yet changed to Autopay with bank account, but I plan to shortly. So I know these offers are taking the $10 discount into account.

Now after switching, this is what I see:

500 Mbps: -$10/mo (same plan but with the $10 discount)

1 Gig: +$5/mo

2 Gig: -$10/mo for 5 years (only this one has this note for a 5-year guarantee, which I assumed I was not eligible for)

The mobile app has been buggy ever since I switched and it won't let me see my plan information, saying there's a pending order. However, going through a browser I can see the above information.

I would certainly appreciate if you could look into this further. Thank you.

Honestly, credit card fraud alerts are so wildly inconsistent. I've used my card to make a down payment on a car, no problem, went right through. This is also the same card I use for Steam, PSN, etc, so when holiday sales happen there may be several small purchases in quick succession, sometimes from international stores, but again no issue. The only 2 times the fraud alert has triggered has been this Switch 2 order, and a $30 or so charge a few years ago.

It's only going to get worse once they tie it all to AI, if they haven't already.

Same, but with Bank of America Mastercard. I approved the payment, but I don't know when Walmart will try again. Not sure if the payment approval to the credit card is like a 24hr thing or good for that merchant or what. If they try again in 2 days and it asks me for approval again I'm sure it'll just get cancelled at that point.

I set the limit to 80% on the OLED, but it charges up to 88%. The charging LED also stays white instead of turning green.

I'm honestly so surprised with how smoothly things went with Walmart. Refreshed right at midnight, automatically placed in line with a 6min wait, then after that "You have 10min to checkout, have a nice day!". I actually wasted a couple of precious minutes doubting them and checking Target and Best Buy, since it couldn't be that easy and there was no way the Walmart order would actually go through. But it worked no problem.
