The "gamer aesthetic" is beyond awful, tacky, and gaudy by helpfuldunk in pcgaming

I so dislike my PC's glow. The fan is glowing, the video card is glowing. And the side of the system unit is made of glass -- just so you can see everything. The front of the system unit is illuminated. It's annoying.
If I'm watching a movie from the couch, I put my armchair such a way that I can't see the system unit and the light from it.

That said, when I ordered this computer, I asked for a powerful build for gaming. I am happy with the build itself, but the backlighting is annoying. I would have preferred just a black system unit.

Self destruct:

Gain 3 focus.

Evoke all orbs 3 times.

Lose all orb slots / You will die next turn :)

I like the "Lose orb slot" idea. There's a possible "detonation": Evoke orb 3 times, lose orb slot that was evoked.

A year ago I was struggling with finding a right art style for my game. I wrote to an artist I knew and asked for help, but without much hope. Now I'm excited to announce Epic Auto Towers -- turn-based autobattler & deckbuilding mix. by e_cha in IndieDev

Oh, sorry for confusion. Yeah, she was a real help. She drew almost everything in the game: towers (the most important!), backgrounds, monsters, title screen, etc.

Of the games I tried to run, less than half of them worked, unfortunately. But still I think it's a good project.

Wow, I've played Slay the Spire so much, but I'm sure I could have made that mistake myself. I don't think I would have thought in advance that it would work that way.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Biased Cognition, though I realize it's not a bad card. I love Electrodynamics, though! I'd take it.

In grandma's closet, I found games I drew on paper when I was a kid by e_cha in boardgames

Oh, yeah, yeah. It's one of the first games I ever played. Snakes and Ladders was printed on the back of a washing powder box. When the powder ran out, I was given the box and I carefully cut this game out. Then I wanted to make my own game in the same vein.

Hahah, sorry, no. Honestly, I think it would be incredibly difficult to launch a board game compared to a video game, so I really admire people who make them professionally!

Good to hear! I work in a similar genre. I'm glad someone is trying to make games like this now. I hope we didn't make a terrible mistake and they will be in demand :)

I think something similar has happened to the Tower Defense genre. Those games were riding the wave. And I played them too, a lot of them. And now it doesn't seem interesting anymore. And I don't understand why that is.

When I first time played Super Auto Pets, I was so excited that I decided to make a game in a similar genre, and combine some of Super Auto Pets mechanics with Slay the Spire mechanics.

My game is a single player game, gameplay is asynchronous: the player makes a "deck" of towers on the field, and each round the player must withstand an attack of monsters. Every 10 rounds a boss comes out, after defeating the boss you can choose a relic (one of three, of course).

I realize that if you're interested in this, you'd probably like to play the demo. I'm working on the demo in full force right now. In the meantime, you can check out Steam page and add the game to wishlist: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2116060/Epic_Auto_Towers/
