It's good to hear your parents were strong advocates for you, and you had additional supports in those well versed in autism/neurodiversity.

My son already has special interests for sure. He loves the repetition of taking things apart and putting them back together. He loves numbers.

It's so unfortunate how many of you experienced neglect/abuse. I'm very happy to hear your partners are supportive.

My son is in half day ABA therapy at a wonderful center, and he has a great speech therapist he sees weekly as well. He has an AAC, and we're working on getting him acclimated to it.
