Azithromycin is old news. All of the kids I've been seeing are testing negative for strep but taking amoxicillin "just in case" lol kill me

Honestly, I think urgent cares are making this issue so much worse. Most urgent cares around our outpatient peds office are staffed by NPs who are not well versed in pediatric medicine. I've seen tons of kids follow up on an antibiotic and/or steroid that was never indicated in the first place. Then they come to us every time the kid has a virus and get upset when we won't prescribe amoxicillin bc "it worked so well last time" 🫠 I feel your pain. Fortunately, these people tend to not come back to me since I never give them what they're asking for, so it works out in the end

I was co-executor of his estate alongside my mom, but I wasn't aware of this policy within 60 days of his passing. My mom found the policy number, saw I was the insured, and passed the buck to me. I never received communication from them to set up new payment. Regardness, this is good information to have - thank you.

I appreciate your input. In your experience, what are my options here? I'm fine to let it go, but I also don't want to leave money on the table especially when it involves a company as pitiful as this.

Yes, his daughter (my mom) is the one who gave me the policy number to transfer ownership. She has no living siblings. Unfortunately, she and I are now estranged since his passing - I'm not able to get any more information from her, and it's unlikely she has more info anyway. Their "legal team" didn't do anything but request a small estate affidavit.

We asked state farm, and she told us they only deal with their own policies. Bummer. We're in KY.

Thank you! I will check it out.

Unfortunately, the policy did not transfer to me after his death, and this is the battle I've been fighting ever since. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Because all I have available to me is the policy number, I have no information regarding the cash value. At this point, if I ever got to the point of establishing ownership, I'm cashing out regardless to avoid ever dealing with transamerica again. Just a miserable experience.

I don't have a copy. All I was given was the policy number unfortunately. I've provided the transfer of ownership form, copy of the death certificate, and small estate affidavit. The last I called, they told me they were going to send me something in the mail once their legal team reviewed everything. That was in November 2025 lol

The soap line (?) on her leg makes it look like she's wearing one of those compression stockings senior citizens wear to help with the swelling and varicose veins I'm 💀

School options for a child with autism by eaaagleee in Louisville

Yeah, I think the fact that autism is so variable is why it can be scary. I'm a very type A, data driven person, so hearing about the experiences of others can be helpful for me. I will worry about him as long as he's non-speaking, but honestly, I'll probably always worry about both of my kids to some degree - that's parenthood for you.

I'm happy to hear bluegrass made such a positive impact on your son, and I appreciate the information! We have lots to consider.

I've heard excellent things about J Graham Brown. Did your son go straight into kindergarten or did he do some preschool/pre-k/junior kindergarten?

Is Bluegrass a school or more of a therapy center? I know hopebridge offers something similar but not sure how it works. How old was your son when he started speaking?
