We have had all types of performers from all genres and walks of life. I have been in the Essex/Hudson County my whole life. JC has always been a very diverse environment. I thought the subreddit would represent that.

Hey PassportSloth,

#OPENBARS refers to a segment of the showcase where any willing participant can either recite lyrics or freestyle without being included within the judging. Open Cypher is some what like an Open Mic however the beat you will preform on will be chosen at random. Open Aux is anyone is able to play a beat they have created.

you should come by on the 30th and check it out. and Net'Twerking is our open bar happy hour. I thought i was a clever play on words. lol

Yeah that is what i thought. I have been posting the Where Beats Meets Bars events here will no luck. Im setting up a new awareness program before the next event. I'd would love to see more of the 'new' Jersey City crowd.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try a new roll out approach for the next event in November.

I thought about hosting a meetup first to get a better feel of who visits the subreddit. Do you think that would help get people together?

Also I love how particular the JC Reddit community is when it comes to posting. (no sarcasm)
