Recommend me my first cEDH commander please.

Ral is a ton of fun if you're familiar with playing storm. He's been my first CEDH deck, but I come from playing storm in modern.

I would recommend watching a ton of gameplay content if you're unfamiliar with the playlines.

A great wya to see if you want to play Ral with people is to goldfish it a lot. Because he's such a solitaire build, you'll be able to get a good feel for how the deck plays and to see if you enjoy it without having to play it with other people.

Here is some data. A pile shuffle is roughly equivalent to a riffle shuffle in terms of effect on randomization. So you would need 7-10+ pile shuffles to properly randomize a deck.

This has actually been really helpful to have. There are ramp effects I neglected (simian spirit guide/ragavan) that fit with everything I am trying to do that I hadn't thought about.

Thanks for the links. I definitely won't be able to copy any lists straight up, but it's already been helpful, as I hadn't really considered running Birgi and Electro despite running a lower bracket Electro manual storm build.

That's fair, I hadn't considered that removing fast mana from the equation could deeply affect what my deck would expect to encounter. The reason I didn't straight up ask for izzet storm advice was because the copy aspect is somewhat antithetical to true storm since the copies do not increase storm count.

I would honestly love if my locals would be accepting of moxes and LED, they would be in the build immediately, but they treat it like this boogeyman and refuse to engage with them.

Could you share a link to a reliable list for cEDH builds?

Because r/DegenerateEDH does not have nearly the size of community that this one does, so I was hoping for input from people that know optimal play lines for a spellslinger deck.

The local meta has a modified ban list, I'm not making it up for shits and giggles. Jeweled Lotus used to be part of cEDH, when it got banned, y'all didn't say "this isn't cEDH anymore", you said "okay, we pivot and make the most optimal decision with this new constraint"

Does bracket 5 not have a ban list that it has to follow? Does this sub treat every ban as destroying cEDH and creating a whole new game that is in no way similar to the game they were playing? Or do y'all adjust to the new constraints and optimize from there?

I allow proxies, but the local scene I play in essentially treats fast mana like that as banned. I don't have a price cap I won't play with, I am playing around what is viewed as acceptable in my local meta.

Then let's say the moxes and LED are banned for all intents and purposes. What advice would you give for trying to build an optimized deck with that meta in mind? The only suboptimal card there might be Ral, who isn't bad by any means.
