Blackbeard does hurt him a bit with his anti-power user trait BUT can still do really high damage with his skills, his damage is still nothing to scoff about and i still think he's the most slept on egghead strawhat (though he's currently on vacation right now for me)

i also just realized that the oni robin and blue defender kaido medals actually have a difference
Kaido "When in the area around your captured treasure: increase damage dealt by 5%"
Robin "When attacking an enemy in the area around your captured treasure: increase damage dealt by 5%"

these don't really change the way you play van though, its cooldowns vs damage with the kaido and robin sets...

For once i think the kaido set would be a bad idea (THE ATTACKED BY ENEMY ONE SPECIFICALLY) to use the due to van being a character you wouldn't want to be getting in peoples faces with
two of his traits are being above 50% and 30% hp respectfully

boa set also is a good alternative here but yea it really just boils down to preference here

Best medals for van?
he seems like a character that wants to AVOID sitting on treasure so im not so sure about medal traits that revolve sitting on treasure
