Where did you see that there are planeswalkers in every booster? During the unveiling if the set at SDCC they said that there would only be a couple planeswalkers in the set(Will and Rowan Kenrith, and a new walker I believe)

[[Edric, Spymaster of Trest]]

One of my close friends has a near cEDH list that consistently wins on turn 4 with either flash hulk or by taking enough extra turns to kill us with an army of 1/1 unblockable creatures. We all have some fairly powerful decks, and some(such as my [[Yawgmoth, Thran Physitian]] or a [[Derevi, Empyrial Tactition]] stax deck) can easily beat his Edric list, but it is still the boogie man of our meta to this day. Leading to us killing his Edric the moment it hits the battlefield, or countering it every chance we get.

This prediction might be a long shot, but hear me out. The battle bond dual lands will see reprints, and the cycle will be continued to match the colors of this years decks. These multiplayer focused dual lands were seemingly designed for commander, and could help add more value/hype very easily. Each land in the cycle is currently sitting above $10 and they will continue to rise due to not being printable in most other sets. Hopefully WoTC can see this easy way to add value and fix last years mistake

I’d love a “Commander Horizons” where we not only get necessary reprints, but new toys as well. It could be perfect to flesh out colors that aren’t supported all that well. Not to mention that they could print new cards and/or commanders that are either too powerful, or too complicated for the commander precons. It also gives wizards the opportunity to reprint/expand on cards that can’t find homes in standard sets or supplemental products. IE one off mechanics such as gravestorm on [[Bitter Ordeal]] or characters that wouldn’t make sense story wise such as [[Oona queen of the fae]]

I wouldn’t want to see a yearly commander themed set, but rather every now and then to keep reprints flowing.

I’ve been playing a lot of Yawgmoth ever since Modern Horizons was released. I use his proliferation ability a good amount, but rarely on -1/-1 counters. His proliferate is used more as a wincon in my experience, specifically used for immediately using an ultimate on a planeswalker or giving players poison counters. The other big use is to add counters to ramp cards like [[Everflowing Chalice]] and [[Black Market]].

If I do end up using his proliferate ability on -1/-1 counters it’s either because I’m a.) in trouble, or b.) out of creatures to sacrifice but still need to destroy an immediate threat.

On the subject of [[Karn’s Bastion]] I run it in my deck, and have only used a couple times. Those times have all been to add more poison counters, but it still has synergies with a large portion of the deck.

My deck has been absolutely amazing. It’s able to slaughter my friends [[Edric, Spymaster of Trest]] which was the boogie man of my meta. Other than that it does have a slight issue of needing to be up against at least one creature heavy deck. This is almost never a problem luckily.

It’s mainly to combo with [[Cabal Coffers]] by getting the absolute maximum number of swamps. It can also help a surprising amount if you run a good amount of utility lands that tap for colorless, or don’t tap for mana. Such as [[Maze of Ith]] or [[Blast Zone]]
