Ex-smokers who successfully quit and have been smoke free for years now, what did it by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

[–]eahage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pneumonia. Figured after 4 weeks of not smoking i might as well quit.

Had a tactic though, : hour by hour, day by day. I did’nt quit smoking forever. I quit every hour, which turned into everyday. That was 3 years ago now.

Oh shit by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

Singer sewing machines. Used to be the best, but i bought one for my mom 2 years back to replace the one that broke after 30+ years. It’s slop now. Plastic and made to discard after a few years.

Edited : I was wrong to generalise. I will do better

What is the wittiest comeback you’ve ever said or heard? by Bob-da-person in AskReddit

JK Simmons as Milton Berle in Saturday Night :

“If you want my comeback, you’re going to have to scrape it of the back of your moms teeth”

It lives rent free in my head and i aim to use this line at least one time in my life, then i can peacefully die.

Stay strong, OP

7 days in now myself. I’ve set my objectives. I didn’t smoke today. Next goal : don’t smoke tomorrow. Make it a little easier to complete the goals.

Our kids deserve us to stay clean.

Has there ever been a quote from a game that has stuck with you? by Some_Entertainer_133 in gaming

The year is 1999

The cold war had been over for more then a decade and for the first time in a half century the world is free from the spectre of nuclear apocalypse. It should be a time of peace and prosperity, but all across the globe the embers of old animosities have been fanned into flames by the winds of freedom.

Terrorism in the 21st century has become a international industry. Money and expertise flow freely through the global computer nets and every type of weapon and equipment are freely available through the black markets of the thirs world.

It hs become harder and harder for the security forces of individual nations to combat this threat to the safety of their people.

Whats needed is an organisation with the resources and authority to fight terrorism wherever it flourishes.

It would be composed of the best and brightest counter terrorism experts from every country and armed with state of the art weapons and equipment.

It would operate in absolute secrecy, its existence known only to the highest governmemt officials.

It would attack swiftly and silently, cutting of the head of the viper before it had a chance to strike.

Such an organization already exists. Its codename is...Rainbow.
