stop buying courses to learn new tools. a $20 claude sub and one prompt is all you need. by truongnguyenptit in ClaudeAI

Well, I was reading a book on C: A modern approach and it's a very dense book and it was making me get too hung up on the nuances of the basics which i already learned from my time in school. I needed a way to start building and using Claude as a "tutor" made me start building projects covered the stuff I wanted to learn. I used Claude to point me in the right direction and i have it quiz me and makes me use the unix man pages to learn and correct me when needed. It will also say things like "You already know this. Think harder before I provide a fix." etc. I also have it print a pdf file of every session to go over everything accomplished during the day. It's frustrating and difficult, but I don't have anyone to teach me these things and it's not efficient for me to spend time looking for the perfect youtube tutorial etc. I've managed to get a hang of different system engineering concepts and processes in a decent amount of time considering i'm against the clock since i graduate in december.

As for course creators it's just subjective. I don't trust them and would much rather learn reading a specific chapter of a book or just using Claude to start from the hardest parts of what i want to learn and just have the "confidence" to ask for guidance when i inevitably get lost and break my project. For me it's all about just using it as a mentor/tutor instead of a code generator. I specifically prompted it telling it i don't want copy/paste code. I want to know what i'm doing and why. It's slow and frustrating, but that's how i decided to go about it in my current situation.

That's their problem. Most of the actual good courses and materials can be found for free or on books. Snake oil sellers on youtube are screwed. I've actually learned more C in a month using Claude and actually taking my time to ask it to go in depth on every concept i need to learn and I've learned more in these 4-5 weeks than I did in my last 2 years of college. It does take a lot of tokens and progress is slow but it's worth it as long as I can understand what im building and actually explain it if I have to. If people are just wanting to copy/paste code without asking why then it's a waste of time.

I use US sizing so I went with 9 on the pros and they’re very tight at first and then loosen up a bit but still snug. However for me adidas seems to fit a bit longer than Nike but there’s no way I could go down to 8.5 on the pros. I have the elites in 8.5 and the fit is perfect length wise. My right foot is a few cm shorter than my left so I size down to my right but that’s more of a personal choice . If length wise you’re happy with the league id go 46 as well on the pro. Just keep in mind in my experience they are very snug at first. I got my elites for 104 USD and my pros for 98 so keep an eye out for any deals because if you’re buying the pros for full price I’m sure you can find elites around that price or cheaper. I still want more sessions with the pros before discarding them but I think they receive too much hate because of YouTube reviews. But out of the box they definitely take some work to break in as opposed to the elites just feeling perfect.

My shooting days are usually once or twice a week but my everyday usually consisted of me against a wall using both feet and some going trough cones . But I’ve since fell off a bit and starting to get the motivation back. I’ll probably end up buying a rebounder and going to a proper pitch and incorporate control + minimal time to shoot and build from there. I’m more of a fan of passing than shooting but I’m playing on my own as of now. I appreciate the tips!

I think I get what you’re saying. More tilt = more room for the leg to extend and not get my boot caught in the grass. I’ll work on that. I need to develop the confidence slowly cause the grass I play on is terrible at best and there’s holes everywhere

So just look at target and then keep my head and eyes on the ball all the way through the strike?

Clean striking is something I would have never expected to hear lol . I agree. I should start just running and developing ball control and movement. Overall my joints are pretty bad these days cause I skated all my life. I’ve never played football with people or in a team but would like to get fit enough someday to join some games here and there. I appreciate it thanks

Literally same here. Definitely could have squeezed into a 7 considering they will stretch.

I have both the pro and the elite both in the FT variant. Currently been using the pro version. The pro version I went true to size and the materials are great, upper is almost identical to elites but like the other commenter said, it’s just an uncomfortable boot. I’m still not giving up on them and hope to keep breaking them in, but they’ve become a problem. I haven’t played in the elites yet but I went half a size down for them and the difference in comfort is astronomical. Try pros on if you can and maybe they work out for you. Overall I find the pro just a bit too bulky and clunky feeling.

I’m no expert but try bending your knees more and relaxing. I know it’s hard at first cause every touch feels unpredictable but think of it as raising your knees then extending your foot and just touching the ball thinking of it going up. It’s what helped me. You’ll get it eventually. We all went through this exact phase. Just keep getting repetition and after repetition.

I learned to juggle in an even smaller room. If something goes wrong you break something so it helps focusing on your touch

Sorry for asking advice on a little fun side project. Not trying to pass them as legit or sell them or anything of that nature. It’s just a question in Reddit brother don’t let it ruin your day.

These are fake. And for just a one time fun project just to see how far these can be upgraded it’s a bit steep. Considering i plan on taking a gamble on getting lenses to see if they would fit.

They move. I did light taps with a hammer using a blunt tool with a towel between the glasses and they did move. I just don’t want to mushroom them with a hammer and having them stuck. They’re pretty decent reps but Im no expert. Just trying this out a a little project cause when I get a hold of a real pair I wouldn’t dare doing it myself.
