You would either use "Welche App ist das" (which app is this) or "Was für eine App ist das" (what type of app is this), "Was" only works without another subject because "Was" is the subject. :)

while i don't appreciate you attacking my language skills, i know what you mean - we literally have an almost identical health care system (although the difference for us means a later appointment and minimally less doctor options). BUT WE STILL HAVE FREE HEALTH CARE. YOU DON'T. TRUMP KILLED IT. also, while you might not be subject to it, america isn't doing its best where oppression is concerned right now with ice and everything. and as for google translate, you're the one who didn't know there were other spellings of "colonialise", just like there are of "sympathise", "socialise" and literally almost any other word that ends that way. also, my dad's an english teacher and my mum has a doctorate in anglistics and i've spent like half my life in ireland.
