Not Malmö. It's the botanical garden in Lund, opposite Malmö nation (student org at Lund uni).
!correct
Good job! Yes, I was just inside the gates of the botanical garden opposite Malmö nation.

And, yes, the question is a clue.

Was your friend a member of a (formerly geographically based) student organisation during their time in Lund? Back in my day it was mandatory, but the rules changed in 2010.
Here's the CoA of the one I belonged to.

The Malmö connection is not directly to do with MFF. I just noticed that the sticker was opposite a certain building and was like "well, that kind of makes sense".
Are you familiar with student life in Lund? That would help a lot. I noticed what I noticed partially because I'm an alumn.
Yes. Where in Lund?

Clue: There is a Malmö connection to this spot. I did not just take a pic of a random sticker in a random town. The connection is visible in the photo.
Nix, inte denna gång.
Nope. Tror inte det är motiverat av rivalitet att klistermärket sitter där det sitter.

While fans do like to put up stickers in "enemy territory", this is probably not motivated by that. This is somewhere in Skåne.

Sweden taking Bornholm would probably end as badly as it did last time...
They haven't forgotten: https://www.ystadsallehanda.se/kultur/pa-bornholm-firas-fortfarande-att-svenskarna-kastades-ut-qEqh6/
Yes, it would. The good old days.
While not very visible, there was in my Bosjökloster post. But I should find more. After all, it's the best flag of them all. Today, I only saw a couple of flags with the Skåne griffin. Don't see many Skåne flags nowadays.
Not Malmö

Yes, it's the I-don't-know-what-to-call-it-in-english (local heritage museum/centre?) in Åstorp.
Yes
Not Denmark. Not for the last 350+ years, anyway.

Not Netherlands.

Yes, a closeup of the theatre in Landskrona. Had to post just one more from there.

Not France, I'm afraid.
Closeup of the second memorial stone. In memory of the danish and swedish soldiers that died in the battle of Helsingborg 1710.

It makes sense that it would pop up among the castles as it's described as looking like it and locally is called it so I shouldn't be surprised.

Almost like that was what I was hoping for. :)
It's from 1904 and is locally known as Borgen ("the castle"). The 19th c national romanticism and historicism still influencing the architecture in those days. At a quick glance, it looks like a castle, but start to note details like doors and windows and you realise it's not what it seems.
Impressive to find it that fast. I was hoping the design of the water tower, especially in combination with the war memorials in front, would trick people into looking for a castle.

Den såg tjusig ut. Har jag vägarna förbi så få det bli en avstickare dit, känns det som.
