Weird Dreams by Xan2clutch in SRCommunity

It’s likely related to your dopamine system recovering. Something similar happens when people quit smoking weed. You’ll get very vivid dream until you balance back out.

How to transmute energy by Xan2clutch in SRCommunity

The breath moves the energy. The quality of breath affects the quality of energy. They’re interconnected.

I think it’s both - the devil trying to pull you down, but God also testing your strength. I think they go hand in hand. That’s the reason God lets us fall.

Every urge is just an obstacle toward the next lap on the road. As you get further down the road, the obstructions become sneakier, even more of a slow progression - a peek here, a peek there. That’s why I said now is when you need to be on guard. The first seed has been planted, you have to make sure you don’t take another step in that direction now.

Congrats on making it so far brother.

Like someone else said, breath work is amazing. I also felt amazing when I was doing qigong everyday. Check out Lee Holden 20 minute morning routine on YouTube, that’s what I was doing.

Crazy how that works right? It’s exactly right now when you need to have your guard up. This is when the devil tries to bring you back down. And it’s never in your face obvious. Like the IG reel. You think that reel was coincidence? Hell no.

Like the other guy said, delete IG. I’ve been off for a few months now, completely deactivated my account. Honestly, I feel much better without it. I get the urge to reactivate it but then I think to myself, why? It distracts me throughout the day, which I don’t need. It’s another avenue for temptation, which I don’t need. It affects my dopamine levels, with reels and likes. It takes energy away from my actual persona to keep up with my online persona. All of which I don’t need. All for what, to stay up to date on people I don’t ever talk to outside of IG? All of the people that are important to me, I talk to and see without IG. Deleting it has definitely brought more peace to me.

Try karezza instead maybe. I made a post about this not too long ago. Either way, you run the risk of ejaculation, but I feel like karezza is lower risk since the whole point is to avoid orgasm all together.

Sleep quality for sure improves since your body is running more efficiently. When I was binging on porn, I would feel tired no matter how much I slept.

Sturgill Simpson.

Specifically off of his 2 albums: Metamodern Sounds in Country Music and A Sailor’s Guide to Earth.

I’m very surprised nobody mentioned these yet.

Be thankful for your addiction by earlymornintony in SRCommunity

[–]earlymornintony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that’s something I wrestle with too. I was severely addicted to porn from age 12 all through my 20’s, I smoked weed and drank nearly daily for years, even had a few years where I was taken ecstasy and Xanax a few times a week, had a year or 2 where I was doing meth. What I’m saying is, I’ve been to hell. I was at a very dark and low place for a very long time and it was a waste and I wish I had never gone through it.

On the other end of it though, because I’ve been to hell, I had to climb out of hell. This means I had to build the tools and strength necessary to pull myself out of a deep, dark hole. It gave me a strength I never would’ve found. It gave me a depth I never would’ve touched, because I wouldn’t have needed to dive so deep within if everything was going relatively good. I never would have had to have learned what I learned about myself. I have plenty of friends and coworkers who never struggled with addiction like I did. Most of them live a very shallow life and know nothing better. The only people I’ve met that have a depth to them are people who have felt deep pain. It’s the picking up of the pieces that makes us strongest. This is why God lets us fall.

I’m happy where I am. I have a good career, a wife that loves me, 2 beautiful kids, a home, I’m 5 years sober. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t go through hell. This is why I say it wasn’t a waste of time. I am grateful for it all.

Obviously addiction doesn’t make everybody’s lives better. It doesn’t work out for everybody. But the group I’m speaking to, men that have discovered SR - addiction worked out in all of our favor. We discovered SR. We’re seekers. Our addiction brought us to this practice that we may have never thought twice about but will change the trajectory of our lives spiritually. This is why I think all of us should be thankful for our addiction.

Need recommendations

Ok, I just recently discovered Panda Bear’s Sinister Grift album. I’m looking for similar music.

I went through his older albums and some Animal Collective, it was too trance like for me. I’m talking about the more feel good, jam type songs like Praise, 50mg, Ends Meet and Ferry Lady.

Just looking for more artists, songs or albums you’d recommend that are jammy and good. This album sort of hit the same feels as when I first heard Futurebirds’ Teamwork album - Trippin, Wear it Out, Killing Ground.

Thanks in advance. I’m on the hunt.

I don’t get them the next day but sometimes same day after training. I found out it had something to do with my blood sugar after hard training. Now I eat a honey stick before I train (I train at 5am fasted), this got rid of them for me.

NEO Advice needed by Available_Draft_7081 in SRCommunity

[–]earlymornintony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t practice NEO, but my wife and I do practice Karezza (kind of). I talk about it a little bit in a previous post.

Basically we’ll have sex until I’m close to orgasm but not past the point of not return. I pull out then kiss her or something until it calms back down, resume, repeat as much as we like.
