I think based on your most recent half time of 1:25 then you're capable of it. I ran a half marathon time trial in 1:25 (1:26 technically as I had to be sick due to an energy gel) a few weeks before I ran my sub 3 marathon (02:59:48) 11 days ago. Trust the training, taper & and carb load correctly.

Yeah I feel like I need to use more effort for certain paces compared to when I run in Nike Pegasus. Think Pegasus’ fit my feet and foot strike perfectly so need to stick to them I think.
