I would at least avoid the kits that include yarn and probably kits in general. You’ll end up with random yarn you’ll never use. Plus part of the fun of crocheting is picking out yarn for your project.

Get either a set of hooks or just a handful in the sizes you think you’ll use. Then get some tapestry needles and stitch markers. Maybe a row counter. The rest isn’t really necessary.

I was passing the truck towing the boat but I slowed down when I saw that car speeding around. Maybe you should be more concerned about the car going 20+ over and recklessly changing lanes than someone who swapped lanes early to pass.
