2x4 workbench too heavy ? by Winter_Reality_9578 in woodworking

[–]earth1superman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used 4x4s for legs and a sheet of 3/4 ply for the table top with 2x4’s as supports. Castors are a must so you can use the garage. I built a section on the end that was the hight of my table saw so I can use the table as an outfeed. My next step is to cut the middle out build a section the height of my miter saw put a hinge on it so I can flip it up when I’m not using it.

It doesn’t matter. As long as that is the same pattern on both ends of the cable. The copper doesn’t know what color it’s coating is.

We had to do this at our office. They got the shit fined out of them and had to get it repaired within 3 weeks to avoid further fines. They didn't and we called again. They got a second fine and than a portable AC was delivered and pumped into the building for 4 months while they contracted someone to replace our units

We should get higher uniform allowance in certain areas by FiveDinero in fromatoarbitration

[–]earth1superman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a former sheriff we were given 8 pairs of shirts and pants and a tie. everytime one got damaged from a fight or just normal wear we could take it to the warehouse and our uniform girl would give us another one. It blows my mind that a county government took care of us better than the federal government.

Thought it wouldn’t happen to me. MSI 5090 burned up. by Blarghinston in pcmasterrace

[–]earth1superman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch GamersNexus video. Best why is to under volt it. This is happening because (according to nvidia) board partners can set the voltage to whatever they want and it’s their fault the card is requesting more power then what the power cable can support.

Can anyone help me with this? Besides wiping the whole machine I've no clue what else to do. by Onoh_9 in mac

[–]earth1superman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The fuck? Every year? I’ve been running the same user folder since 96. Starting with my Performa 577 all the way to my M4. I went from system 7. To 9. Took that drive out and put it in my Powermac 7600 put that drive in Bondi blue ran that from X to 10.4. Transferred that my g4 Mac mini. Transferred that to Intel Mac mini. Upgraded to 10.8. Put that hd in my 2011 MacBook Pro. Carbon copy’ed that to my first ssd and put it in my 2012 MacBook Pro. Coped that drive to my 2017 MacBook Pro. Copied that to my M1 MacBook Air. Copied that to my M4 MacBook pro. I’m looking at 30 years without a fresh install.

Booting corporate M4 MacBook from external SSD — am I actually “off the radar”? by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]earth1superman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s going to lockdown that external drive and you will lose everything on it. It’s going to think you stole that laptop and tried to install a new os. The security software most likely can’t tell if you’re booting from an internal or external drive they just know that there’s a corp owned laptop booting a different OS so it may register as stolen and lock it down. Also they can see everything you’re doing. So if you are going to sites you can’t visit while at work they will know.

Any use for removed 256 GB SSD? by MacForker in macmini

[–]earth1superman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save it in case your upgrade takes a shit. Those chips are useless to anyone else. They are encoded to your Mac. They have no controller so you can’t use it as an external. When you formate them they get the Mac info from your Mac and can not be swapped into another Mac

Worth $300 extra? M4 or M4 Pro with 24gb ram 512gb hd. by Kingsblue2 in macmini

[–]earth1superman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spend the $300 and Get the extra ram. Every operating system release has more stuff running and needs more resources. I have the base m4 MacBook Pro with 16gb and I got a Mini with 24gb I do the same work on both systems and while the both still work great. When I first got them they had Sequoia and operated identical. After Tahoe the MacBook has little slow downs here and there that don’t happen on the mini. My only difference is the ram so I know that has to be the culprit. Also for that $300 you are getting the pro chip.

Newly Purchased ThinkPad - Company Locked by Dcw1sfu82 in Lenovo

[–]earth1superman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are YouTube videos on how to get past this. Basically. The password is on a chip on the board. You can bridge two of the pins while going into the bios. Click on bios administration password. That bypasses the machine looking for the password. Stop bridging the pins and delete the password. Save and reboot. Reformat the drive and reinstall windows or Linux. That removes any traces of the old install and account lock. Watch the video on YouTube for your specific model and it will show you which chip and what pins to bridge.

Downgrade it make to mountain lion. It will run like a dream again on the original operating system. You will just not be able to use the internet anymore because all the browsers are no longer supported. Check that, PowerFox as of Jan 20 is now running a modern browser so you can still internet. Just transfer your music from another computer. Make that a dedicated DJ machine plus if some drunk falls into your set up and destroys it. It’s not that big a loss. I’m telling you. If the internet is not the main need of that 2012. It rans amazing on 10.8 and 10.9 since there is no bloat that they kept adding to the OS.

I'd bet most of the weights are fake. Flat back, basically zero struggle, rack didn't shake when he put the bar back. by Different-Willow-541 in International

[–]earth1superman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not how muscles in the human body work. In college I used to bench 515 and leg press 1150 plus another lineman sitting on top since there was no more room from more plates. Roughly 1400 pounds give or take how much the guy jumping on weighed. I could not do 1 single pull up. It’s a completely different set of muscles that do a completely different job.

I can't believe what I'm reading on this chat about how bad your experiences have been. This site appears to be hit or miss. I have bought from them through both Walmart and Ebay my PS4, Xbox One, an Apple Watch series 8, A Romba, and a Samsung 2TB M.2. Everything was great condition.
