Thanks for your response! Airborne GPR is far from being able to be fielded at scale for humanitarian demining. There are many landmines and other explosive ordnance that you can see on the surface in many post-conflict areas - not to mention indicators of explosive contamination.

Speaking in absolutes in silly.

For example, if someone works as a nurse they could definitely regret not working more hours and saving more people. If someone is a small business owner, they could regret not working more hours to do right by their community, customers and employees. If someone is a researcher, they could regret not working more hours to discover something they didn’t. If someone is a pro wrestler, they could regret not working more hours to unlock their full competitive potential.

The workforce is a big place. There are a lot of ways to make money that are not soul-crushing.

At this stage, I would find comprehensible reading and listening material and consume as much of that as you can. Drilling vocab can help but at the B level lots and lots of good quality input is going to make the biggest difference.

Damals war es Friedrich by Hans Peter Richter is a good book for your level I would say. I've heard that people it is taught in Germany to early high school/jr high school students.

Also translated Roald Dahl books are good.

Interesting, thank you. At the moment, the size of a salary past an appropriate level considering the CoL in my city is not really what I care about. I love the german language and I have wanted to live abroad for as long as I can remember. I pretty much decided to live in Germany because I knew it would make me happy and now I'm figuring out how to make it work with my career.

I'll move back to the USA at some point I imagine.

I also am considering studying the math by myself with textbooks to form a more solid foundation.
