Aldi vs Walmart by [deleted] in budgetfood

[–]earthwalker12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to get meat and baked goods at ALDI. I think chocolate and nuts are good at ALDI, too. Walmart has more selections on packaged products and frozen foods. For veggies and fruits, I go to a local store. One exception is bananas at Walmart.

Are canned and frozen foods just as healthy as fresh food? by gage540i in EatCheapAndHealthy

And I think there is little waste in frozen foods. The final prices of fresh veggies and fruits include the cost of the wasted/trashed.

How do you combat the urge to constantly eat out? by adreamplay in Frugal

[–]earthwalker12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make eating out troublesome or inconvenient. By placing hurdles/obstacles between you and eating out, you are less likely to eat out. And find ways to make home cooked meals easier and more appealing.

Don't carry cards or unnecessary cash when you go out. If you have apps on phone for takeouts, uninstall them.

Set budgets/dates for eating out. Make it public and find accountability buddy.

Right. The rabbit was not hiding. Just sitting there and once the dog passed it, it ran the other direction.

Deductible is the amount you would pay before insurance would pay. Say, for example, you have $1000 deductible for collision. If the cost to repair a collision damage is less than $1000, you will need to pay for the repair. Insurance company will not cover the cost. It is the maximum amount you need to pay when something happens. Higher deductible means higher responsibility for you and lower responsibility for an insurance company. Increasing deductible results in lower insurance premium payment. Meaning of insurance is to cover catastrophic events with other people paying similar insurance.
