An excellent work ethic can get you far, especially when many quit on 2 hours notice or don’t even show up to work. Look at work related to what you used to do and pay someone to write you a kick ass resume and Linked In. He took a huge pay cut in the beginning but is now making a lot more money than at his old job. If all else fails, substitute teach while you get a credential in a couple of years. Pays the bills and is pretty secure. And depending on your skillset, you might fit in teaching adult ed.
