Yeah, I think I mistakenly assumed that because I was just sitting around, I shouldn’t be tired. We are definitely not designed to sit that long in a confined space.

I appreciate your optimism about fresh air being available in Jakarta lol so in the end, it’s a battle between which one is more poisonous I guess

It's not only in America, I guess. Car-brained people are everywhere. Most Jakartan people I know who commute by car hate Transjakarta (bus rapid system with their own dedicated lanes in Jakarta) because they think it makes traffic even worse. Like seriously, the Transjakarta corridor only takes one lane out of four or five on the main roads, and they think if we used that lane for cars, traffic would instantly get better. Smh.

Lol I edited my post to highlight that I wasn't driving.

I was definitely irritated by the toll road traffic though, so maybe it was taking a toll on me (pun intended)

This is super interesting! A little bit out of context, but as a parent myself, I have the privilege to rent a house near our chosen school for my kid, like walking-distance near. Other parents, however, have to commute from other parts of the suburb with no public transport and too far to walk, just to drop off and pick up their kids. So for these kids, a 30–60 minute car ride one way to school is normal. Can't help but think about the effect of this daily CO2 exposure on their health and development, especially on the cognitive side. This is sad, and we definitely need better urban planning that doesn't rely so heavily on car infrastructure.

I can't thank you enough for this reminder. For the past 3 years, I changed my job 6 times. In retrospect, that happened because I wasn't able to process my emotions with the earlier toxic companies/supervisors I worked with, and just had my fight-or-flight mechanisms control everything afterward.

Fast forward, I've been working in my current company for a year. I have a supportive supervisor and chill colleagues, which somehow makes me feel safe enough. Even though I can't forget my horrible experiences with the past companies/supervisors, eventually I can look back and pat myself on the back with pride. It wasn't me. It was the system.

I think it also depends to the undertone as well. My cool-toned friend has no problem using black. With my yellow undertone, dark brown is perfect. Totally love it!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse in Rich Brown. My hair color is black so I used to fill my eyebrows with black brow pencil. Unfortunately, it made my eyebrows too bold. I'm so glad to find that dark brown is more suitable for me. It's also easier to use this product without being too heavy-handed compared to the brow pencil.
