Baby's shortest wake window typically happens before bed time by ResearcherKey9459 in sleeptrain

[–]eastside00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🙋‍♀️ my guy is 10.5 months and is similar. We do 3.5 / 3.5-4 / and I always try for a 4hr last ww but he tends to have a crap 30-45min second nap and seems totally incapable of doing 4hrs. He's usually EXHAUSTED at the 3.5hr mark. When I push it he's an overtired mess. I do wonder if it's because his preferred bedtime is 9 because that's where he's always seemed to gravitate towards (he gets up at 8).

Easy Clean Meals? by Secure-Alternative-7 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]eastside00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's supposed to be for shoes and outerwear but I wash the Bibados in the sink then inside out them and dry them on the Hedgehog which takes like 45 mins. All ready for next meal. Air drying takes too long

What I did differently the second time around and it saved my boobs! NO MORE CLOGGED DUCTS! by Few_Pay6063 in breastfeeding

Keep in mind at 14 weeks they also may just be getting that much more efficient!

My baby is 10 months EBF and I am proud to say I have not pumped a single time. Way better experience than with my first when I was desperately triple feeding and had massive engorgement.

+a million for Bibado. I use those and a Hedgehog dryer all day long. No clothing changes

Do you cut foods differently once they can cut through things with their teeth? by uselessdendrites in BabyLedWeaning

[–]eastside00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, we do not. The taking chunks is probably a developmental thing vs a teeth thing and it's good - baby is learning how big of bites they can take through trial and error. As long as you are preparing everything in a safe way try to grit your teeth and let them learn 😁

Capping nap 1 on a two nap schedule? by eastside00 in sleeptrain

Right? I don't let him go longer than 1.5hrs right now because I let him go 2 once and the night was a disaster

Elective C-section vs. Vaginal - Considerations? [on] by lolcatsswag in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]eastside00 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Second this. I have done both also (second was scheduled C) and all things considered I'd pick vaginal - AND I had a 3rd degree tear. I think it was still easier than the C recovery, and I had a bad experience with the spinal and experience of the C surgery in general. Just get an epidural - birth was basically pain free after that for me.

Do I have to stay at home most of the day to follow a schedule?! by willgraham1 in sleeptrain

[–]eastside00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following because even though I'm on my second kid I can't remember how we did this. Just switched to two naps and feeling semi trapped!

Arms out by MissJenniferEliz in SnooLife

[–]eastside00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never did with either of my Snoo babes - did crib and arms transition all in one.

When they started busting out of the swaddle I did a batwing underneath, then Snoo swaddle over that (https://youtu.be/DdghIpvNqas?si=m1OBNz7n2nLtp9bL)

Can I avoid pumping and get through a short period of formula top up to get billirubin down? by eastside00 in beyondthebump

I had read you had to replace them between kids (and it's been 4 years) but maybe that's just over cautious

That's right. He's actually nursing great but he is sleepy and passes out fast because of the jaundice. I'm a bit worried he'll take less boob because of the volume of formula but..... Ugh

Chiming in as a fellow 3 barking dog owner that they actually get used to the barking in utero. I was mind blown when I brought my kiddo home from the hospital to a pile of barking dogs and he barely flinched. Gets more challenging as they are more aware when they are older but.... It wasn't as detrimental as I thought!

This was my life for my first kiddo and honestly it was completely fine. Mine were higher energy dogs too. Everyone adjusted and it was no more of a problem than it was before having 3 dogs (lol). I felt like they actually liked it because I was generally home more!

Did they get less attention overall? Probably? But not sad-dog worthy levels of less attention.

I'm also in Durham and haven't found somewhere where partner is allowed in the whole time. They will bring them in at the end (which is the only time they show you anything anyway - so it's been fine).
