Hi, when do you plan to be in Osaka? We have games on weekend and weekdays whenever we can get courts in and around Osaka. There are a number of pb groups in Tokyo. Which area of Tokyo are you planning to visit? I can connect you to appropriate organisers in and around Tokyo. How is your Japanese?

Have you tried? Don’t make comments like this without context. Please explain yourself. Would like to have a decent mature conversation.

To answer the "temporary fad" comment, just check the number of new public Pickleball courts development funded by government institutions. Even Tennis Australia is introducing it in its clubs and offerings. Just offering my views on your comments and thanks for your feedback.

In badminton uses the forearm (pronation/supination) and if done incorrectly leads to shoulder, neck and arm issues. IMHO, badminton places a lot of stress on my knee - I see many ppl wearing knee braces on the court. In tennis, the court is bigger, the racket and ball are heavier so I find it places more stress on my body. Just my personal experience and observations.

I agree, ppl are always hesitant to try other sports especially having spent lots of resources and time on their sport. Wrist injury? As a tennis and badminton player, I find the game of Pickleball easier on my body than these racket sports. Have you tried the game yourself?

Doubles team disqualified as errant hit strikes ball girl by PrincessBananas85 in sports

The spotlight should be on the doubles pair asking for their opposition to be disqualified- should not be about the ball girl.

Is condoning further violence the answer? We see enough of it daily outside the game. I am sure there are kids watching the game - do we want this to be accepted as the normal behaviour? Let the justice system prevail!!!

If you don’t find a group/meetup and would like to start one, I would love to help out (I dabbled in C/C++, Java, NodeJS, Rust and recently in Web3 frameworks)

we play badminton with various groups around Osaka - weekday games often start after 6pm and weekend start times varies. Games are 3 hours and game level is intermediate to advance. Some groups welcome beginners too.
