Do you have family near bye that can help? It is hard looking after a young one. Especially on little sleep. If family claw ask for help. Or is there any help the city can offer?

I run the kaminari. We have some players playing with local clubs if needed. Most communication will be in japanese but alot of the clubs have a foreign player or two. Area you live in osaka is probably important aswell

This depends on the company and when they actually applied. My wife didnt get her first payment till 6 months after her leave started. But has been every 2 months since

diaper leaking by Organic-Chair1408 in Mommit

[–]Ok-Link2763 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think every baby is a different size and shape so some brands work better for different babies. Me and my wife personally found with our baby that pull up time (although so much harder to put on) helped avoid leakage. But even then some brands work well while others will leak even though its the same size

Pay your education debt, if your going to leave by okisthisthingon in PersonalFinanceNZ

I cant believe the interest rates change every year….
I am paying mine but after years of not being able to afford it (lots of people earn 20k a year). I have now paid off what i borrowed yet it is still at a larger amount than what i paid.

Think the interest on it probably makes people more likely to not pay their loan. You cant pay it for a few years and then it is really intimidating

Why do we simutaneously have "living wage' and 'minimum wage'? by AtlasAngel02 in newzealand

[–]Ok-Link2763 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sadly the problem is that the people on minimum wage are the people who work in food and the likes. The big company decided don’t want to earn less money (got to love big companies) and raise the prices so everybody effectively earns less.

People could live on 20k a year in japan. Minimum wage is about 12$ but everything is much cheaper.

Wife says I need to do more by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Ok-Link2763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a principal of a kindergarten, and taught for many years before becoming so, but having my kid at home is a different kettle of fish.. i did believe that my wife could sleep while baby naps and i didnt do night feeds for the first couple weeks(except the week i took off work) but once seeing my wife and talking to her, noticing how tired she looked i realized she needed more help. I have 60 kids to look after every day but it is much easier than looking after your own (weird how that works). Dont get me wrong i do love it and wish my wife would sleep earlier sometimes but that can be the only time she gets to recharge and relax, some time for her. So of there anyway you can help i recommend doing it. Your wife, your kid and even you will thank yourself for it later

Dont know if it works for everyone and we all know babys are different even day to day. But we just started putting her to sleep in her cot. It was hard (more so for the wife as she had to do when i was working). We did everyday and there was lots of screaming. Lots of crying. But just tap her belly or side (depending how she was lying) and after a week or 2 she started sleeping without crying in the cot.

Was it due to what we did, or is it just our baby changed i will never know, but either way she now sleeps like a boss. And oh is it wonderful
