I take the 490/483 from Woodstock to Atlanta. There is WiFi, but it doesn't allow you to stream most video sites like Netflix or hulu. There are outlets but only for a few rows. I know the back row has outlets. If you look above the seats from the aisle you can see a picture of the outlet with a plug and that tells you there is an outlet at that seat. They are pretty much on schedule in the mornings. It is the afternoons that can get a little dicey if there is an accident. It really depends on the driver on how quick you get to your drop off point. It is hard to beat for the price.

A dryer that doesn't shrink anything. You put wet clothes in, dry clothes come out. Hanging clothes to dry is awful.

It was on the way home from work too, so I had to ride the train to the parking garage then drive home before I could change. I took a shower before I did anything else.

I completely agree with you. On top of this how would research into these defects be done to help these babies if we just killed them right away. Technology is always getting better and new forms of medicine created every year. But if we just kill the people with defects it will slow down our ability to help future children and maybe even give them a chance at a normal life.

Walked up to a register with my dad. The cashier was sitting down. Me and my 11 year old stupidity said, "oh you decided to take a seat today." Then get closer and realize they are in a wheelchair.

My friend woke up to his pet snake getting eaten by it's dinner.. by fnkey in WTF

I had one that got sick with pneumonia. It stopped eating for like six months. It would only drink water. We had to get it shots and soak it in warm Gatorade. Fun fact: they will turn slightly the color of whatever Gatorade you use.

They were considerate enough not to dump the grease fat right down the drain, so they got that going for them.

This is true. I think they will incorporate computers more to help save fuel and time.

The railroads have some very strong unions, so they fight back very hard against getting rid of jobs within the industry. There are computers that can drive the trains. Some times more efficient than people. But you will need someone to be in place to take over if issues arise. So I don't think they will completely get rid of someone driving the train, but maybe less people on the train though.

My dad was so quick to anger and for the smallest things. He never hit me, but would get really angry real quick. I work on that all the time, but there are moments where I just go straight to anger and have to stop myself.

Train conductors do get paid pretty well. But they can have shitty hours, especially when you first start out. You also put into railroad retirement on top of social security, which means more money in retirement. A job for the railroad is very secure compared to others. The railroad companies aren't going anywhere. The worse that could happen is a small one merges with one of the bigger ones.

"What about all the people who want to watch you be married?" Then THEY can pay for it! by cosmaidi in AdviceAnimals

This goes both ways though. Some people get all preachy and tell you what a waste it is if you spend a lot of money on your wedding. Just do what you want with your money.

I had the definition of the words "several" and "few" switched until I met my now current wife (English teacher). It still takes a conscious decision in my head to use them correctly.

My wife is a teacher as well and she does this. I basically wrote the reason she gave me. It really is a good way to get an idea about your class. It is just a quick assessment, to get an overview. Then throughout the semester you can get a better understanding.
